I'm not comparing Microsoft to ZPI, it was just an example.
I don't like to argue, well....maybe every once in a while. But I asure you it's not shady practies. More of misjudgement in the decision making process. But the term "shady" implies they are crooks, which be it not the case.
But lets face it, if they could have grasped this a little earlier and was able to put a finger on getting kits shipped in a more timely manner, You know, and I know that ZPI would own these boards. As I'm sure that at one point in time, every one who is F/I would have either fab themselves a kit, or bought the ZPI one. It's the shippment that's their crutch, not the performance of their kit.
All I can hope for is that the said parties are satisfied with the resolution to come from this learning experience.

I sell parts online and I do appoitments for installs and special fab of stuff.
I work in a shipyard as my everyday job to pay the bills. To many tuner shops in cali to just jump in the game without a good rep.
And when I said people are getting what they deserved I guess you didnt read the whole statement... I SAID... People havent been listening to what we have been saying all this time so I guess they are getting what they deserve.. Now what that means since you obviously cant read... Is they dont listen to the bad only hear the good and now they are getting screwed... so I guess thats what they get and deserve.

I dunno, I keep browsing the forums and all I see are negative topics about ZPI.
Soooo what was that 1 out of every 10 talk again?
They also owe a kid up in Mass a kit as well. He ordered it back in November of 05

Your love for ZPI completely overshadow the fact that ZPI had screw up many time. ZPI can't keep everyone happy, but if the number of unhappy customer keeps piling up then eventually the **** hits the fan.
you defend ZPI as if they were paying you. you agreed that JohnnyBlazed should had receive his money a long time ago, but yet you never question ZPI. Are you saying that ZPI had every rights to keep JohnnyBlazed's hard earn money. Why didn't ZPI just refund this guy's money back when he demanded a refund??? YES everyone know about ZPI's cash flow BS, but they claim to be stable for quite some time now.
since you're such a die hard supporter maybe you can answer a question.
if ZPI were so behind on their turbo kit, why can't they be honest enough to inform the paying customer about the long term delay.

Why on earth would I try to order a crank pulley from ZPI if everyone was saying they're a crappy company? I'm not a moron like Keith.

This thread is about the OP giving ZPI some $2400 and (as of yet) receiving nothing for it but vague promises about delivery and off-hand remarks about a cash-crunch. That is the truth that we both can agree upon, correct?
Your position is to defend ZPI from the people who are bashing them and their business practices because you feel that it is unwarrantied and undeserved, given your treatment from them and others. Correct?
One, you're obviously biased: ZPI Powered
Sponsorship Accquired: ZPI Racing
Two, you should be the FIRST to call upon ZPI to refund his money, instantly. After all, you know that they're a good company and your experience with them was great, right? You, of all people, should know how quickly a company's reputation can go bad. You should be going into damage-control mode, not making excuses and trying to counter-attack their detractors. After, what they want is for ZPI to FIX THE PROBLEM
I have seen plenty of boards vs vendors, and it always boiled down to two scenarios:
1.) Company replies with an apology (irregardless of they were wrong or not) and immediately offers a full refund or agrees to handle things personally until it's right.
2) Company denies, denies, denies........things get ugly............company no longer is in business or stops selling to that market.

At what part in the thread did you not comprehend that the matter is being delt with? At what point in the thread did you not comprehend that everyone agrees it would have been much more suitable to have completed this transaction a lot sooner. But neither you nor I have the answer as to why it fell through the cracks. Only ZPI and this guy knows that. So, stop asking questions that can not be answered accept at the source.

Why don't you ask them?
Have you guys that are talking so much BS had ANY first hand experience with ZPI or is all hear say? How many times do we have to say that we agree with the fact that the guy SHOULD BE PAID!!!! Yea, I stick up for ZPI cause they've done everything possible to make us happy. Like we said you can't make everyone happy.
I'm not going to tell ZPI what they HAVE to do or what they SHOULD do. That's not my place!
As far as their response to what the guy told them when he said his lawyer would contact them. It's natural for a business to be hush hush from that point out and only speak with the lawyer. Trust me I just went through that with a company. They wouldn't speak with me after I told them I was contacting my lawyer.
I've been to ZPI on their work days and seen first hand what they've had to do and put up with. The phone rings non-stop either from their customers or from people who have run them through the mud and now need help with their kits because no one will help them. Do they blow them off? NO, they help them and do it for free.
You guys only hear the negative, NONE of the positive. Or just choose to listen to the negative so that it gives you reason to complain.
I'm not going to say it again! The guy DESERVES HIS MONEY! ZPI was in the wrong, but I also forgot that everyone here is perfect!!!

How about you re-read exactly what anyone was saying, and actually ask yourself, "what is it that they are defending?" No one made excuses for the delay. I believe everyone was on the same page bro. Last time I checked, they did reply with an apology, and are seeking the most suitable way to get the guys money to him. Circles, Circles, Circles of people asking irrelevant questions, or questions that have already been answered.
When people keep trying to go back on something, and keep saying...."Well, this and this, and that"...AFTER a step in the direction of progress has been established, makes me question the majority of the reading comprehension on SL.

I'm tired of trying to have a debate with people who keep back pedaling and asking the same questions. They admitted to the mishandling/misjudgement. Taking a step in the right direction to get the guy his money has been established. End of story. Even the original thread starter was disgusted at the noobie comments comming from the childish peoplle here, and said he wasn't posting again after things were taken care of.
PEACE and HAIR GREASE! Me and my fiance plan on enjoying our Friday, by finally going to the 1/8th track and laying down some #'s.
Hey guys - thought I'd weigh in here. Many of you guys know about the crap and frustration I've been through on this whole project. I was going to keep it secret until it was installed... but I got my ZPI kit last week finally! They first got my order in June or July of 05 (after waiting 6 months for Scion Speed to not send me a kit) and after many delays it's here! The parts are all assembled and I'm putting it in tomorrow.
Right now Keisha and Kenny are on their honeymoon, but when they get back next week I wouldn't be surprised if you could get your kit shipped (if you're still interested). They're going to be announcing a lot of new stuff and undoubtedly that their preorders are going out the door.
As for the kit itself - looks B-E-A-UTIFUL and I'll make a big post about it with photos after I put it in. I don't have the stage 1 parts yet - but that was the original plan (to get the stage 0 parts first).
