I have read about some HID kits having one bulb not lighting up all the time every now and then. I don't know why. I am sure someone here would know.

Electrical tape will probably fail after a while with all the heat and cold. Which can allow water to get in. Heat shrinking is probably the best route.

It cost me about $40 to do it. $32 for the heat gun at the hardware store and $2 for tubing. I bought 1" tubing and had to stretch it to get it over the plug. It also made it look way nicer.

This isn't a bad idea...

You guys think we should offer the plugs with shrink wrap tubing so you can heat it up and keep the plugs dry/together??

I'm always up for customer suggestions - one female customer suggested we include latex gloves with the kits so you guys/gals won't get your hands dirty and now we do it.

For the customers with bulbs that have diff colors - please send me a PM with a pic of what you're noticing and some order info. I'll look up your purchases and see if we can get those bulbs swapped under warranty.

Thanks!

Clifford

I think it would be a good idea, but I would bet that most people wouldn't either use it or wouldn't buy the equipment to do it correctly. By far the shrink wrap tubing is that way to do it. Those plugs are not coming apart anytime soon now in my car.

Luckily I already used heatshrink on mine. works great. I had electrical tape but the cold air cracked it. Anyways, it would be a great idea to start selling the stuff.

I put it over the OEM low beam light bulb plug and the Mobile HID Plug. The Mobile HID plug doesn't have a clip so most people use electrical tape to keep them from coming apart and moisture out. .

bingo^. I used it wherever the two harnesses plugged into each other so it was sealed right up.
