one more thing, doesn't matter really, but did you ship it to my paypsal address or the one I put on the message? Whichever one is fine, I just want to keep a look out, thanks.

Got my 8000k kit today! It was very fast shipping thanks so much. I have a couple of pics... Quick question. Do the bulbs need a little while to break in or something? They look exactly like my friends 6000k kit. They are white with pretty much no blue once they heat up... Should I be worried?

hey blue, you may have wanted a darker blue than the 8k. unfortunately not all hid bulb manufacturers follow the same color temp scale. did you want something more blue?

here's a shot of a 12k on top and a pink bulb on the bottom.

I guess it's blue lol it didnt look that blue in person though it's weird. And I've got a few videos coming that show the color a bit better.. Just some more teasers of 8000k

Video link to HID startup... Why does the color flicker so much. Or maybe the camera was acting funny

great video. the "flickering" was probably the camera adjusting to the increase of light. if it really was the lighting kit, check your connections to make sure they're solidly grounded and what not.

usually that's the case.

Thanks.

I have a question. What makes these aftermarket HID kits different. A buddy of mine just got his 10,000k hid kit from ebay for like $120. His runs off the factory wiring harness(which I think is bad) but his ballasts and bulbs look exactly the same as mine, well pretty much. But we plugged his in and they are like 6000k. My 8000k kit is way bluer!

So the question is, what make the color different? Is it the ballasts, bulbs are different specs from different manufacturers or what? It's strange. But I'm happy with my kit cause I think if it were anymore blue it would not be ideal for driving! Thanks cliff

Yeah - not all hid bulb manufacturers follow the same color temp scale. I've tried multiple kits from various manufacturers and often times they were all over...

Here are some of the leftover ballasts from my testing.

some people have been asking about my testing of the bulbs... i'll post some vids later.

Hey if my friend was to order some of your replacement bulbs would it probably make them bluer?

Hi Guys,

Just to answer the question about the ballasts, my manufacturer changed the types they were using and it may change again.

Don't worry though guys- they're both equally reliable and well built.

Just an FYI- I've got a cool surprise for the ScionLife community coming up so stay tuned.
