Default Product left?

SO excuse my stupidity but I have wanted HID for freakin ever and I just wanted to make some stuff clear.
1. Do the bulbs last around 100,000 miles like most HID bulbs?
2. These kits come with everything to plug and play and not overheat or melt my factory wires?
3. Are you still running the $170 price shipped?
4. How long would it take me to install these?

Sorry for all the questions! Thanks!

Hey Buferd, good questions man.

1) The bulb life isn't necessarily measured in miles vs running hours. They are rated at 3,000 hours of burn time so it depends on when you drive the most if you want to measure by mileage.

2) Yes, they come with plug/play wire harness, the harness has a built in relay and fuse and will not overheat your factory wiring or plugs.

3) Yes, I'm still running the $170 shipped price.

4) It depends on how you want to mount your ballasts. For some people it takes 10 minutes because they just drop their ballasts into a safe spot and zip tie the wires, for others it takes a good hour since they remove their bumper and hide their wires for a stealth mount.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask - thanks!

How much of a difference will the 4300 kits compared to the 5k kits be?

I say visible light because darker lights are harder to see than whiter light. Think about a blue light bulb and imagine how hard it is to see the light on the ground compared to a white light bulb.

If you start with a 4300k bulb, which is oem white, you will lose 12% of your visible light when switching to the 6k bulbs due to the slight tint of blue. Comparatively, if you go from a 4300k bulb to an 8k bulb, you'll lose 20% of your visible light.

Of course the same concept applies to the 50 watt kits but the amount of light output is on a much higher level.

Hi Sciontized -

The 5k offer an LED white light vs the 4300k which can appear "yellow" when compared to a 5k or a 6k color temp.

For ideal lighting in wet and dry conditions, I suggest the 4300k. In wet conditions, the higher color temps do not light up the road as nicely as a 4300k kit.

Believe me, been there done that a few times. I currently have 4300k for both low beams and fogs and the light output is phenomenal.

Default Warranty

I had a question on your lifetime warranty. How does that work if something goes wrong?

buferd- basically if you have a bulb or ballast fail, send it back and i'll replace it. as long as it was used in the way it was intended and under normal operating conditions.

Of course, if you're subjecting the components to some ridiculous chemistry experiment with battery acid or something similar, I can't warranty that.

errgelistic - you're welcome man.

ok one more question... Sorry!

This may sound dumb but bear with me.

I am worried about the beam pattern being too scattered on my tC. I dont want to ____ people off I just want a good kit with a cut off line that doesn't blind on coming traffic. I do not have projectors so I guess I am asking for an honest answer if anyone that has them has been pulled over or flashed. Thanks everybody.

All kits shipped and all pm's replied! Woot!

BTW - if you order a kit and I don't happen to have it in stock, you get a free LED flashlight with your order.
I don't have a light meter so I wasn't able to capture what the lumen output is but it is DAMN bright.

Powered: 2 lithium ion CR123 batteries. (included)
Length: 5 inches
Weight: hardly anything.

Thanks!

tiro - you can order it on the special order page setup for the scionlife community. I honestly was quite surprised at how bright this 2nd batch of LED flashlights were - the batteries can last for years so it's great for emergency purposes. Also, when I removed the reflector housing, the flashlight served as a great lamp with an even distribution of light in all directions in front of the flashlight.

You can order the flashlight here: http://www.mobilehid.com/scionlife.htm

Thanks.
