ragingbull - i believe your kit went out on Saturday. You should have it today or tomorrow at the latest.

malaclypse - awesome example of how much HIDs help you see... truly a day and night difference. you couldn't even see the wheel on the other car in the first pic! lol jk.

firesquare - i totally agree man.

Aroddalobster - you'll need a 1/2 inch drill bit to create a hole for the strobe base. Once you do that, you can put them in wherever. I have a friend here who is going to hook them up to his buddy's 3rd brake light in the back window with red and blue colored strobe jackets. haha. when he stops, the strobes will go off and all his buddy will see is red and blue. hahahahahaa! awesome prank.

MR LUV -

Here's a run down on the basic installation for the H4 kit.

1) Swap out the halogen bulbs and install the new HID bulbs To remove the halogen bulbs, you'll have to pull off the rubber dust cap. Don't worry about pulling it, it will just come off like panties on a prom date. Haha, couldn't resist. Once the bulbs are exposed, you'll see a metal wire that is angled in such a way that it keeps the halogen H4 bulbs in place in the housing because it's hooked into the housing. At the tip of this wire, you'll see it's kinda looped to give you a soft friendly way of releasing it. Press it in and move it to the side to the wire clears the hook and the bulb will come out.

To install the new HID bulbs - repeat the steps backward.

Note: The bulb that has the black plug connected to it will be the passenger side bulb. It looks like this:

Also Note: The other bulb will have 2 light blue quick connects crimped to the tips of the black wires. These 2 light blue quick connects connect to the other light blue quick connects on the wire harness.

2) Laying out the wire harness.

Please refer to image below so you can install the wire like a ninja - stealthy... very stealthy...

Also, the 1st gen xB has an EXCELLENT spot to mount your ballasts. Just take the ballast and slide it into the ballast bracket which can be found under the tray that holds everything in the kit box. Once you have the ballast sitting in the bracket, bend the arm of the bracket back onto itself so you create a nice hook with just enough room to fit in sheet metal. You can then hang the ballast right behind the headlight housing as shown in this image:

3) Plug and play time! On the wire harness, connect the red wire connects to the (+) terminal on the battery and the black wire with the small loop at the end connects to the (-) terminal. I believe you'll need a 10mm socket wrench.

After you've connected the harness to the battery, connect the ballast plugs to the ballasts and plug the black plug on the passenger bulb and the black plug on the wire harness into their corresponding OEM bulb plugs.

4) Turn on lights.

5) Dance for joy in front of the car and get tan.

Hans - you'll have your lights on Dienstag auf USPS. Danke!

Cliffud,

I ordered a 5000k kit from your site on the 13th this month, was wondering if you'd able to give me a guesstimate to when they might arrive? (I live in Hawaii, if that's a factor)

Thank you for your help, looking forward to witness the great product and customer service. Aloha

I was wondering what all those bolts and nuts were for... I never even looked under the tray in the box. I've got my ballasts just zip tied to the frame. Guess I'll have to pull those brackets out and use them now

Thanks Clifford,

I'll give those instructions a try when I get a chance.
Everything is more clearer to me now. I didn't even know about
the brackets underneath the tray. Or about the extra nuts and bolts.

Thanks,
MR LUV

actually, its for a friend that drives one of the new g35 sedans, and it already has HID – he just wants the purple-tinted bulbs. is there a way you can get a hold of those? im not really sure what bulb size that would be...

Cliff

I will check my mail today, hopefully its there. I guess I'm concerned because the tracking system of USPS thru paypal said they know about the package, but did not actually received it yet. I wonder if that's even a reliable system.

Anyway thanks I'll let you know if I do receive it.

I've never really liked it when packages were shipped via USPS. Oznium uses USPS as well. One time I ordered a package and it just so happened that I was away for that week when the package was supposed to arrive. I had the mail held at the post office and when I went to pick up my mail the package wasn't in the mail. Online it said that it was delivered but It never was. Luckily the manager of the post office got involved and they found the package.

I'd print out that page and go to your local post office and find out whats up. Hopefully they'll be able to give you some more detail on it.
