Default 06' TC Timing Chain Broke Help!!

Hi All, while I been lurking these forums forever every time I need advice things are always found now I have a huge issue, I will do a small back story on the car since I'm new and m sorry for the long post but I'm so stressed over this

My baby is a 2006 TC, I bought him brand new in 06' I commute from PA to NJ, and has been cross country with me in a few times in our 7 years together I put 223k miles on him, I Know , oil changes, filters flushes ect always on time obviously no warranty anymore and never had any issues before this lovely problem.

Now the problem my husband started taking the car to work he also commutes since I'm on modified bed rest for a hard pregnancy, suddenly 3 weeks ago it starts to overheat, (he always worked on his cars him self he can take an engine out and put it back in a few hours alone but always older cars like 94' integra 92' Nissan) he replaces the thermostat, nope, radiator cap, nope, belt & water pump, nope so last option head gasket!! He does however find out that the (sorry if its not technical) 3 bolts in the back come stripped and have no torque, after reading we found out this is a common problem for this year TC & Camry, s he's mad wants to buy a $400 kit to fix them ect. By now I'm aggravated because all these parts and tools it should have been brought to a mechanic.

He puts it back together and yay no more overheating, drove it only local so first time I go on the highway to a Dr. Appt the car stops and I had to have it towed home, he looks and finds the timing chain broke and 2 of the valve stems are messed up because of this..... First. Question I asked did you mark the timing chain (which I read on here ) no the guy in the YouTube video didnt specify that..... Now I'm Livid, this car was to be our daughters car she just turned 16 and I thought it would be good for a starter, Im getting a new XB in December cause I need more room with the new baby coming.

I guess my question is could the chain and the valve stems be replaced and be worth it, I read where the whole head would need to be redone. Also is there anything else that should be looked for due to this. Thanks for reading the story and rant, I'm just so over the aggravation.
