I Zaino'd my xA yesterday to freshen it up a bit. When I hit it with the hose to wash it the car STILL was beading water like mad from the last time I Zaino'd it last April. Can YOUR wax do that?? I didn't think so! :D

With spray waxes, don't get too happy with them. Spray it on your MF towel or applicator first, then apply it on the paint.

Trust me, I found out the hard with DP Spray Sealant (amazing stuff, BTW), and now have a grill that looks like it has a disease with all the white spots

This is why you read people's directions that tells you to spray it on the towel FIRST. meh

Also, the only reason you'd have a hard time wiping it off is because you applied it wayyy too thickly. Apply as thing a layer as you can. If you want more layers, then add additional thin layers. Never apply one thick layer - you're just wasting product and your shoulder.

Has anyone tried Meguiar's show car glaze #7, followed by hi-tech yellow wax #26. It the mirror glaze line or pro line of meguiars. I was just wondering if its better than NXT. I wanna know cuz I'm low on my detailer stuff and if this stuff is good, I'll buy the gallon versions.

Oh, btw, I'm using gold class liquid wax and deep crystal polish and paint cleaner as my monthly 3 step process. Some say i do too much, but I get a lot of compliments. Plus, girls LOVE!!!! my car cuz its like a movable mirror from home to check themselves out.

clay bi-monthly, paint, polish, and wax every month is my way of "detailing"

i clay with a pinnacle clay kit and then lay down a coat of wolfgang paint sealant then 2 coats of pinnacle signature series II, stuffs pretty expensive but it goes a long time you dont have to use much and the paint sealant stays on about just as long as zaino (6 months or so) from my personal experiences and looks awesome

Did this back at the end of March (1st week of owning car). Water still beading like crazy. Stuff is great with the harsh NE winters too. I just hit the touchless carwash in the 1 every two weeks and the salt comes right off.

sorry to bring back this thread, but i have one question.

Many of you guys recommend Meguiars NXT Tech Wax, but are you guys referring to the liquid or the paste version?

I used liquid the secret is to work it a little let it dry until haze
and take of and buff with a clean microfiber cloth. but dont let it
dry to much because it would get hard to take off

why is paste bad? I use old school, literally, crystal Meguiar's wax paste and it shines like hell/a mirror, .
