LOL... This is turning ugly quickly. "Lion's den" may be an appropriate thread title.
Dave,
The earth is perfect tornados and earthquakes are just what happens when God gets mad! LOL!!! Don't laugh theists cause that is what you would still believe without science.

Yes, you are correct. What I should've said was that isn't the way to follow in Christ's footsteps.

How do you know that? What if women and men are just accepting what they can as a mate? Just as you say people did with religion way back in the day. They don't have the means to understand, so they settled with the belief that there was a high power.

Are we evolving or are we adapting to evolution?
this is a real study that went on. I read about it on cnn a good year ago+.

actually i just went to google.com and type in 'taller men shorter women procreate'
there are LOTS of these studies by places all over the world. all find the same thing. Especially about taller men. whether it's because physically they are bigger and therefore more attractive to women, or even because taller men are more prone to make more money(employeers think taller men do better at their job, regardless of profession)

Well, that an interesting study. I'll have to check it out.

So, you don't think women and men are just adapting to what evolution is giving them?

Theories in science never become facts.

Theories in science explain facts.

Umm, you do know that we have found fossilized fish, right?

Can you name a single fish that eats bone?

How is it possible that, if you believe the myth of Noah, the marine creatures were somehow 'drowned' by the flood?

Maybe they weren't. I told you, I dont understand everything. Again, how much of the ocean floor has been studied?

marine fish would die from osmotic shock, aka suffocation under water(drowing), in the hypo salinity caused by "the flood". as would most everything in the ocean die if the flood actually happened.

not to mention if you mess with the salinity of the ocean, you drastically alter the north atlantic current.

a giant flood would wreak havoc on the earth for thousands of years. The climate would be really messed up for a VERY long time.

Anybody who believes in God ever had their prayers answered? What was it if you don't mind sharing?

I've seen it on t.v., where lotto winners said they prayed to jesus to win, and lo and behold they won.

and people pray all the time to have their sick relatives get better, and they do.

Why is there no mention of the Flood in the records of Egyptian or Mesopotamian civilizations which existed at the time? Egyptian culture was one of the most (if not the most) advanced of its time, having a superb record keeping legacy. No mention in Chinese annals either.

that was the proof i needed. Guys i have converted.
would you be posting this if she died? no. sorry to be morbid, but I too prayed for family not to die. was me and my family's faith not strong enough for god to bless a miracle upon them?

it's not a miracle. a miracle is something happening that takes magic to happen. If your sister's legs got tore off, and they magically grew back. that would be a miracle.

and why would your god answer the prayers for 1 person, when you got 1000x more people praying those millions of starving kids in india don't die.

Actually, every human starts out with only the the x chromosome and so life begins, in a strictly genetic sense, as a female...

are you and your familiy all fully devoted chriistians? people cant just go around doing whatever they want however they want and then come to God when they have times of trouble, people seem to blame God quick when somehting bad happens but dont ever speak his name to thank him when somehting good happens, i still have had prayers unanswered, just because you pray dosnt awlays mean it will happen, sometimes we dont understand why things happen, or why God let somehting happen, but the bible says "lean not on your own understanding"

honestly, does that matter? Say my family was full of nuns and priests who lived and breathed christianity, are you saying that god hears people of a certain devotion more than others?

yes they can. I can go around raping and murdering and then at the end of the day, accept jesus christ as my lord and saviour and openly and honestly ask that he forgive all my sins, and they are forgiven right? and if i died that next moment, I'd goto heaven according to what you believe.

so when you pray and it comes true, it's a miracle, but when you pray and it doesn't come through it's god's will and you're not supposed to question or understand that? What circular thinking your religion has you believing. are you kidding? read that again and understand how stupid that logic sounds.
