Atheist vs Theist (Debate)
LOL... This is turning ugly quickly. "Lion's den" may be an appropriate thread title.
Dave,
The earth is perfect tornados and earthquakes are just what happens when God gets mad! LOL!!! Don't laugh theists cause that is what you would still believe without science.

actually i just went to google.com and type in 'taller men shorter women procreate'
there are LOTS of these studies by places all over the world. all find the same thing. Especially about taller men. whether it's because physically they are bigger and therefore more attractive to women, or even because taller men are more prone to make more money(employeers think taller men do better at their job, regardless of profession)

Can you name a single fish that eats bone?
How is it possible that, if you believe the myth of Noah, the marine creatures were somehow 'drowned' by the flood?

not to mention if you mess with the salinity of the ocean, you drastically alter the north atlantic current.
a giant flood would wreak havoc on the earth for thousands of years. The climate would be really messed up for a VERY long time.

Why is there no mention of the Flood in the records of Egyptian or Mesopotamian civilizations which existed at the time? Egyptian culture was one of the most (if not the most) advanced of its time, having a superb record keeping legacy. No mention in Chinese annals either.
im a born again christian and believe in God and have had my prayers answered,2 years ago my sister got outta her car to help someone on the highway, and was hit by another car, we got to the hospital the doctor came out and said her chances of living dont look to good......later that night we had about the whole church in the ICU waiting room praying, the doctor came out and said looks like shes going to make it, but she might not be able to walk again, after more praying the doctor came out and said she will be ok but she might not remember any1 in her family or anyhting b4 the accident, needless to say after all the praying and all of it, my sister has been out of the hospital for 2 years now living her life, if thats not a miracle or God answering prayers i dont know what is

would you be posting this if she died? no. sorry to be morbid, but I too prayed for family not to die. was me and my family's faith not strong enough for god to bless a miracle upon them?
it's not a miracle. a miracle is something happening that takes magic to happen. If your sister's legs got tore off, and they magically grew back. that would be a miracle.
and why would your god answer the prayers for 1 person, when you got 1000x more people praying those millions of starving kids in india don't die.

are you and your familiy all fully devoted chriistians? people cant just go around doing whatever they want however they want and then come to God when they have times of trouble, people seem to blame God quick when somehting bad happens but dont ever speak his name to thank him when somehting good happens, i still have had prayers unanswered, just because you pray dosnt awlays mean it will happen, sometimes we dont understand why things happen, or why God let somehting happen, but the bible says "lean not on your own understanding"
