Hey guys, there is some really great stuff in this thread! I'm just getting into photography, and tonight I went out with a photographer, and she gave me a lesson, and a camera to learn with.

Here's some stuff that I got from my first shoot, I would appreciate ANY feedback or advice you all might have for me...

This is my favorite:

Were you using a tripod? If not, I'd invest in one. They're key for night shots.

What lens were you using?

haha speaking of big heavy cameras this is what I have to lug around, if I had the L lens I want it would add an aditional 3lbs to the camera haha

thats not heavy....

1D mk IIn + fisheye + water housing = 11 lbs of dead weight while floating in the ocean and trying to tread water....

Ill get a 1d someday if I have $8k laying around the house.

if you think about it, 2 x 1d's = a scion tc.

5d will be my next purchase, than eventually the 1d.

the 1d is weather sealed unlike the 5d and look of pictures are different between the 2 bodies.

as you go up the model line, less noise at higher ISOs! which just makes it that much easier to take photographs under low light and high speed.

I was using one for the shots in the playground and of the building, but the ones at the bus stop I didn't because my friend had it.

not sure about the lens she had like 3 that she just interchanged depending on what she wanted to use or wanted me to learn on.

I like this one too out of the whole set. For the others, if you're going for the grainy look on your shots don't change a thing. If you want to reduce or eliminate it, try upping your ISO setting in low light.
