lol, i cant feel these. they're 31 gauge so its very very thin. a tiny tiny pinch, nothing major. ive come to live with the tiny pain for the rest of my life. last month was a year when i was diagnosed with type-1 diabetes.

 

That sucks so bad dude.... My grandmother had it for years and she struggled with it so bad. It's cool that they have that little needle though. Is it a multi-dose needle? If so then that makes life one hell of alot easier than what I had to do with my grandmother. I have a chronic disease as well, and know that it can be very difficult to deal with, so I hope that you have some luck with your situation!

 

I hated when I was diagnosed with Type 2 but I was appreciative b/c at least it wasn't type 1

 

i used to use syringes and had to draw out insulin from a vial once every night for my 24hr slow release insulin when i first got diagnosed. i now have a pre-filled pen like in the picture for it, so no more syringes or vials. the one in the picture is a fast acting insulin taken after meals, i take 2-4 units depending on what i eat. its alot more convienent so i dont have to carry syringes, make sure the vial is in a cool place and whatnot. i never liked sweets so it didnt bother me much that i couldnt eat them as often, i adjusted to diet over night and wouldnt stand drinking a regular coke, i can taste the sugar now, yuck.


i just hope they find a cure for it soon?

 

^^It is unlucky that you were diagnosed in the first place, but lucky in the sense that it wasnt type 1!

^ I know what you mean about finding a cure... I have Systemic Lupus..... there has not been a new drug developed to treat Lupus in over 50 years....

The government pretty much gives lupus the cold shoulder. If my doctor told me tomorrow that I could not work because of it, I would get no disability from the government what so ever. I would have to have something like cirrhosis because of the lupus to get disability.....

It's messed up man.....
