for what i shoot i think the 430 would be ok. I like how fast the 580 recycles nicely which idk if the 430 does that.

umm $900 or OBO. Im still debating if i should sell it. I just got it too, paid $1100 for it.

 

I can't think of a situation where I wish I had a 580 because of power... manual full power is a lot of lumen on a 430ex.. if you need more light, bump the ISO.

 

I'd recommend that lens to anyone! Mine is the sharpest lens I have (well...it's about tied with my 70-200 f/4L). You can hand hold the thing down to about half a second at 17mm and about a quarter second at 55mm. Plus the bokeh is incredible. Great lens for car shows etc.

yea i know i just shot it again at 50mm on my lens looks the same. The macro on that lens is good though. I think i just like the red ring of "L".

 

I do L conversions for $50..I'll hook you up since red paint is on sale right now.. I'll even throw in the prep work into that price.
