DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
Ok so...im really liking the XSi so far. Much better than the D40 I had IMO. I wanna longer range though. I was used to have the 70-300mm. What do u guys recommend? Not too expensive though.
well the 55-250 is alright, runs about $250 used. If you can get your hands on an old 70-210 f/3.5-4.5, that was an outstanding lens and you can usually pick em up for around 150 or so, but they have about as good of image quality as the 70-200L. Canon's 70-300 is a great consumer grade lens, and if you want a good all around lens, there's the 18-200IS (which I happen to be selling if anyone is interested, haha).
So I'm shooting a show in NorCal tomorrow, & I should've researched the venue more a lot sooner than this, & now that I have, I'm super worried. What do you guys think would be the ideal setup for a place with poor lightingo? Here's the link to pictures of the venue:

I have the following:
Canon XTi
18-55 kit lens
55-250 4-5.6
85mm 1.8
28mm 2.8
50 2.5 (Macro)
430EX II Flash (with diffuser)
Hoods for the majority of them UV & Polarizing filters (which I obviously wouldn't use). My flight's at 1:30pm tomorrow so if I really wanna pick anything else up, I'd have to get it today. What do you guys recommend I pick up that's reasonably priced in order to better this shoot or do you think what I have will suffice??

The Canon does feel better
tina, just boost ur ISO up as far as u can. Grainy images will actually go along with the "feel" of that place. also take the fastest lenses u have. The primes will prolly be the best for sure. Image quality and colors are always better on primes. PLus they are always the fastest.
A fried has a 5D and the fisheye looks crazy on FF, but I tried his on my crop and was very disappointed with how little it actually "fisheyes". On another note, does anyone happen to know what I can find a used Canon 180mm macro for around 900?

yeah i LOVE my FF. ha ha Just sucks when I need range. But Zach tried the fisheye on his 10d and loved it b/c of the fact of small fisheye effect but still wide angle like a ****.
