Yay finally some 7D 70-200L action!

 

 

Does the the D70 have everything on the LCD like the D40? I found that the one thing on the D80 that pretty much ruled it out for being a beginners DSLR. On the D40, you can just hit the ? button and it tells you what the setting does, helps with learning everything.

And yes, the D40x was a complete failure and a complete waste. That's why it was discontinued after only being on the market for what, a year? And a word of advice, higher MP =/= better pictures. If that was the case, why would anyone buy a DSLR, when you can get 12MP point and shoots for $75.

What about the Nikon d3000?

 

I thought all Dxx Nikons had that button. My D90 has it. I'm not sure if it's present on the Dxxx or Dx series.

 

My D80 doesn't. Haven't played with my D90 enough to find it. The D80's LCD is strictly for picture review and browsing the menus.

Where is it on the D90...? I'm just seeing the Info button, which just puts everything on the 3" LCD.

 

Oh, and VR is amazing. I don't feel like uploading the picture right now since I'm going to look at snowboards in a minute...but I was getting sharp shots @ 300mm and 1/8s. VR truly is a tripod killed.

 

It's the same as the WB/pic lock button.

 

yes it is. i took a shot of some lake the other night and you would think i used a tripod. i just got my 55-200 i love it

 

Ha, I didn't even know that. But still, the D80 doesn't have any the "info" function that the D90 has, so if you want those helpful tip things, you need to find that setting in the menu, then hit the ? button.

 

Handheld, 1/8s, 800ISO with 70-300mm VR (Ghosts ) Didn't feel like cropping the second shot lol.
