Agreed. Now that I have my 35, I haven't touched my 50.

 

I have a feeling this will happen to me if I get the 35 also.

 

You have no idea. I'm trying to get rid of the 50 actually. I dont even keep it in my bag anymore. 35 Is fast, and super quiet with AF. I cant even hear it (i am a little hard of hearing though). And just sharper all together IMO.

 

the 35 is better for most situations but i still find myself using the 50 for the more portrait type stuff. plus the 1.4 is that much more help in low light. if i had to pick one or the other though, probably would be the 35 just because i use a DX body and the 50 range is such a sweetspot.

 

Jon, you do a great job of capturing the blue ribbon color, it's tricky to get it exposed just right. Also, your car is always spotless..

 

Sometimes exploring back alleys leads to interesting finds...

Yeah haha I assume you were to? My tc was right next to the VIP cars.

 

I must say I really do like my 35mm but I'm in the market now for an all around lens somewhat better than the kit lens. I've been looking at the 14-28 I think it was.

 

My D90 kit and 35mm will be up for sale soon (probably near the end of next month) so if anyone is interested in upgrading keep an eye out!
