Thanks for the filter recommendation, Breaux.
btw, guys.... I've really been considering making the switch to Canon. I was playing with a T2i the other day and absolutely loved it. It just felt right. Anyone want a D90?
:/
:/
just had to clean off about 400-500 cars with 15 other people all day, at the end i took some pics of our work

I don't even want to know how you guys removed the snow from the cars. Used to work at the dealership in the detail department and I've seen countless lot attendants and salesman destroy the outside wiping snow off the cars. They don't realize that water is very abrasive SMH...
If you're gonna bother switching, save up and get a 5D2. Switching to another consumer body system doesn't seem worth it. The performance of the two is pretty much the same minus the video.
dont dooo itt! nikon ftmfw!
as for the bokeh kit thats a super waste of money its just construction paper with a hole punched in it! lol lots of diy's for that effect.
but i have been wanting to try it my self.

the bokeh kit is definitely a waste of money. Also as far as camera choice, get the one that fits u better. Nikon and Canon are pretty much hand in hand. So one isn't necessarily better than the other. Just preferred.
^ Yeah, that what I'm saying. It just felt right. First time picking up a Canon and I felt at home. I'm gonna drop by Best Buy or something and spend some time playing with Canon cameras before I make any decisions.
FYI - NEVER ever buy from AccessoryCircut.com. I've never experienced such terrible customer service before. And I eat fast food like twice a day...

im debating if i should get a grip for my d90 or just save my money for something else....any of u guys ever buy a grip from ebay. my friend got one from ebay for his d300 he paid 80 compared to the $200+ nikon grip and it looks and functions pretty darn good. the d90 grips on ebay r 30 bucks soo im debating it.

I got a Zeikos grip from Amazon. Works just fine. I don't think I'd try any of the others though. As far as advantages go, it makes portrait shooting easier. It also makes the camera feel more balanced. A disadvantage would be added weight.
I got the zeikos for my 5dii. Besides the fact that it's not waterproof I love it. Only factor is it makes the camera heavier-bigger-and the wow he has a big camera factor(im shy)
i have the zeikos grip for my d40 also. only thing i hate about it is when i so wanna shoot vertically i have to change the settings of the camera to 2 sec remote use then i can take pics, also i cant half press the shutter to focus on the picture.
Fstoppers just put out a pretty decent gear list - fairly nikon oriented - but worth looking at http://fstoppers.com/the-improved-fstoppers-gear-guide/
