DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
True some copies are better than others and I imagine same with Canon lens' but it just got me weary of those two. I've heard really good things about the Sigma 84mm 1.4, much cheaper than the Canon 1.2. But again you run into the good copy/bad copy debacle.
I ended up ordering the Sigma 50mm 1.4 new from B&H because there's a good chance I'll get a bad copy. A lot of people on POTN seem to be getting them lately. If I am unlucky, I'll exchange it for another. If I'm still unlucky I'll just exchange for the Canon f1.4. But hopefully things work for me because I really want a Sigma 50 with no front focus issues.
yeah i guess my 50mm 1.4 may have had some focus issue's then, it really seemed soft compared to my 35mm f2 and 50mm 1.8. oh well i rarely shoot in the 50mm focal range and i have my 85mm now >:D I am wondering if i can find a 28mm 1.8 USM for cheap and sell my 35 f2.
jasper let us know how the sigma is!!

I can't wait, man. Imagine the amazing videos I can make with this lens!
In other news, I've been shooting film with an EOS 650 since the beginning of the semester. And today shot with the full frame film body and then my T2i back to back. This gave me a full understanding of the differences between full frame and crop sensor. It felt cluttered and uncomfortably tight shooting with the T2i after using full frame only a minute or two prior.
So if anyone sees any good prices on a 5D classic... Let me know. :D

I would't browse around in the 5D MKII groups on flickr if your looking for a classic. The images the MKII produces are just stupid impressive, I haven't seen any from the classic (that I know of).
lol jasper you should just by my 5dii+sig 50 1.4 since my girlfriend and I broke up photography has just stopped for me. I bought a jeep a parts aren't cheap. ill pm you in a sec
doing business under the cover of night...
first 2 pics are getting things ready out of country, third pic is after flying in, the pick-up, and climbing out, red lights low.

29mm, f/4, 1/40, iso1250

35mm, f/1.8, 1/50, iso1600

18mm, f/3.5, 1 second, iso500
i tried to make it look as visually accurate as possible, but upon getting the pic on the laptop, this is a little bright. soaked up too much red. i should have gone for a 1/2 second exposure. this is how it looks, just a little dimmer. (18-200mm doesn't do you any favors either)
