anyone know if the 08 cage is the same as the 05? I broke that top plastic part when installing my short shifter, now if i shift hard the plastic thing breaks away and I can't shift and I gotta break apart my center console and pop the thing back in.

There have been no changes to the gearbox or transmission on the tC lineup. I bought a 2005 Shifter cage, TRD, and it was a perfect fit on my '08 tC.

If you are still unsure please call your local dealer.
