I'm not discrediting the car, I would just choose an Evo over an IS-F which is 20k cheaper (not that I wouldn't be able to afford it, and who cares about money anyway, bringing up the cost has nothing to do with anything, IMO) that's why I said to each their own. Also, how do you know I don't know anything about the car? Have you researched every single car on the market? Highly doubt it. Just look, me and you are opposites, I'm more show than go, you prefer performance, with an Evo, I get the best (well, really good in this case, cuz I know an Evo isn't "the best") of both worlds. But honestly, you just look like a big bad dog barking at people on the internet, just simmer down with your statements and chill, and stop judging people and making financial comments because that's completely besides the point and not necessary. You talk about dime a dozen, but honestly, look at what you're driving, do you see more tC's on the road, or Evo's? tC's are far more a dime a dozen. But really....WHO CARES. It's an opinion, no need to argue it.

/end threadjack and arguing and discussion other than Alex's situation.

First of all, Evo's more visually Loud than an IS-F

People say turbo tC can take an EVO. Very few can other than in that range. Just because a tC can win from a roll, doesnt mean its faster or quicker, put it in ANY other situation and the EVO will win all day. (minus a handful of tCs out there)
Errr, the facts stopped here. ( but I again do agree with you guys that obviously, these kiddies we're barkin up the wrong tree)

Evo's have traditionally horrible launches, not to mention their unstable transmissions and transfer cases aren't made to do this.

In fact the whole car's not made to drag, its an AWD suspension machine, handling, weight balance, torque, and traction are this cars strong points, not supposed to go fast in a straight line.

My moneys on a 35K$ tC over a stock 35K$ evo any day in a Drag Race

I love when people use their parents' financial standing when establishing their own financial standing.

That being said, I love when people feel the need to establish their financial standing on the internet.

Big deal, your daddy got an IS-F. Even better, you're the reason he bought it, apparently. Good for you, maybe he'll let you drive it on the weekends once you've finished your homework. When my dad got his Jeep SRT-8 delivered, I didn't go posting all over the internet about how great I am because of it. A little maturity goes a long way, but that comes with time, I suppose.

I love thread jacking, too.

And even tho its not a DRAG car, its still faster than the majority of turboed tCs.

Your point about a $35K tC over a stock evo. Whats the point? Put $35k into a CRX, (heck $10K into it) and the CRX will run 10s, NO TC CAN DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other than the professionals.
Put $35K into any car and it will take the tC. There is a reason ZERO NONE NADE tCs are running 11s. Because the tC isnt a drag car either.
Ohh and here is a point, take a $25K evo 8 and put $10K in mods into the engine to make it a $35K car, and it will run 10s. Still faster than a tC. A tC, cannot, will not, and never will hang with evos on the grand scale. You might have a onsie twosie out there that can run 12s, but not many tCs can.
Just because a tC can win on extremly tight conditions, drag racing from a roll at certain speeds with the top speed being set, doesnt mean its faster. Because if the race was anything different or included a turn, the tC is done!!!

I just wanted to thank everyone that was bickering back and forth. You helped me kill time at work by acting like 5 yr olds fighting over who gets to sit on the right side of the couch. So THANKS!!!

I agree I would look at the ISf over the EVO, but its not even a comparison, adding MUCH more expensive cars to it all is pointless. The next logic is why get an ISf, when you can get a F430. But then someone will say why get an F430 when you can get a veyron?

Gotta keep it all in class!!

A better comparo, and my comparison right now, and I am torn is EVO or IS350 or 335I All very comparable cars, within 6grand of each other!!!!

(it is funny to watch people live through their parents fortune and money and think it translates to what they can afford!!)

Well I love my EVO X, just throwing my 2 cents in there.

To add a little more, I had a boosted tC, and yes it would take my EVO on the freeway... Keep in mind this is if my tC was the way it was with a Dezod turbo at around 330whp @ 10psi, and my EVO X was stock.

Stock EVO X vs Boosted tC in the 1/4, its a drivers race. Some stock EVO X's have ran 12.7's...

An EVO X with simple boltons, a modified STOCK turbo, race gas and a tune at stock curbweight ran a 10.9... A tC with a turbo kit and a good driver runs around that, depending on the kit..

A tC will not run as fast as an evo dollar for dollar... Although I wish I had the money to try the comparison.

I could've gotten an ISF as well, but it truly is not what I am looking for. I was looking for a car I can Time Attack, and the EVO is meant for that. Don't get me wrong, I like the ISF, but I don't gauck at it, it just another car that I see driving around. I have seen a total of 3 other EVO X's driving around other then mine in 4 months.. and I have seen a total of 3 ISF's driving around. I don't know the sales statistics on the ISF but I bet they haven't sold that many, just like the EVO. The economy can't afford it.

I don't know what it is, but every thread Jason posts in, I feel like we are always arguing.

You can also look at it this way, a built motor tC won't come close to a built motor 2.3 EVO, it might not even touch a stock motor with a 35r on it..

But in the end, its all a drivers race... so lets argue about who is the best driver on the forum now...

My first vote = Dan Gardner, and then I am a close second

Seeing how I haven't posted a response to him, let alone on this entire thread in 3 days, I find that unnecessary.
