LED Fogs DIY:

You will need:

1. 4 LED strips
2. In-line fuse holder
3. 1A fuse
4. ~16feet of wire 18 gauge at least
5. Male/Female connectors
6. Soldering Iron
7. Shrink wrap
8. Drill



Step 1:

Remove the Bumper


Step 2:

Remove the parking lights and unplug the paking light holder from the power wire.


Step 3:

Splice wires into the wires on the holder. Green is POSITIVE and Black and White is GROUND(every black/white wire in the car is the ground!)
Ignore the regular fuse, put the inline fuse holder in that place
Crimp on the connectors




Step 4:

Plug the parking light holder back in, 2 wires are now hangin like this:
Zip tie em




Step 5:

Take off the fog light covers and align the strips inside the middle two gaps


Step 6:

Either just stick em or Drill a hole to feed the wires through. Drilling is much neater cuz over time the paint strips from wires












Step 7:

Solid color wires on the strips are POSITIVE, stripped are the ground
Place the fog light covers back in and run wires from the left lights to the right





Step 8:

Before you put crimp on connectors, check the lights with a 9V battery to make sure there is no short circuit anywhere





Step 9:

Plug everything and turn on the parking lights
Reinstall the bumper

 

i can't even begin to think of words good enough to describe ur work

 

well thank you but this is really nothing, just splice into the parking lights and hook up some LED strips


recoloring instrument panel or the dash service and speedometer lights is much much harder

 

i was talking about taking the time to take pictures of everything

when i'm modding...i don't like stopping lol!

but really...its the idea+effort+sharing = awesomness

 

well it depends on the mod, some times i forget or dont have the camera around.

taking pix is really nbd, what sux up time is writing up DIYs up and uploading and linking pictures

I was leaving class at 930pm. remote started my car from inside the building.
As I am comming out, a car pulls in right next to mine and all 5 dudes inside start starring at my my car. As I approach and remote open the doors, the guys go:

-Dude! So sick!(they saw mostly my fogs ;))

 

well if i got mine then ee got theirs..
