i don't expect anyone ot agree. but the hate is out of control.

Scion did not make this car for you or you or you. they didn't make teh xB2 for me or any other xB1 owner. so to say Scion failed makes no sense. there are planty of xB2's on the road and there will be plenty of tC2's as well. so let's not be so critical. what chu gonna do? thumbs down everyone that buys one as they leave you in teh their dust shifting into 6th gear while you are stuck in 5th? idk, i think the hate has gone far enough. those have made this forum quite negative now

I agree!!! i think most people hating for no reason... but probably most of us wont even buy this car.... even if it would look bad ___ most of us would choose something better... 4 door.. maybe something with rear wheel drive or turbo.

 

Shifting to 6th gear does not make you any faster, it will possibly give a closer ratio spread and possibly a lower OD cruising gear; so shifting into 6th quite possibly would be slower. . . you should technically keep it in 4th or 5th for top end power, unless you're trying to hit top speed, which is electronically limited anyway.

Yeah, if anybody bought one and loves it, big ups to them. I think most of the negativity is disappointment. . . and it's reflected in the sales volume too. You may happen to see a lot of newer gen's where you are, but sales are abysmal right now.

Aint this the truth. I almost feel like Scion is dead. My next car will not be a Toyota unless Toyota comes out with something intriguing.

 

I think the majority of this board would be happy to have the old line up (xA, xB1, tC1) back and just keep that for thirty years.

 

Most people were in fact dying and begging for a redesign. A huge chunk of the haters just wanted something more inline with the JDM 2nd gen bB, rather than the Corolla Rumion. And for the tC, they were hoping the styling to be more like that of the FT-86.

^^^^that video was very informative, I've said once and I'll say it again, this car will do just fine, it was made for a new generation and not for current tC1 owners, I'm deff. test driving one when they get here.

 

Is anyone else concerned about inside line liking the automatic more than the manual?

 

I want to see a light colored one without the black tape on the A pillar.

it is different but it looks much nicer and modern than the old one. i think everything looks better except for the AC controls...

 

Wow, It looks a hell of a lot better in that picture. I guess the people give me a sense of scale.

 

yea the interior is way better then the old version but the exterior is just fail.

The only way to make the rear look nice is to flare the rear fenders and to equip the five axis lip spoiler
