Scion xB Unleashed in Chicago BODYKIT + WHEELS!
I'm new, and I don''t own a Scion. I own a toyota and a lexus, but a fan of the XB. I been reading the posts regarding the new XB. Here's my take, the new XB has completely lost its proportion. At least the Japanese bB retained the right proportion. The 2008 XB's front overhang is way too long and essentially ruin the appearance and stance of the XB. Because of the corp's desire to add a larger engine, they compromised the front end. If you look at the t2b, the concept at least retained the short overhang. Just my 2 cents, from someone who does not own a 1st gen XB.
yup, instead of a toaster, now it's a toaster oven!! That Jay Leno front end doesn't do it for me. I hope someone drives by ma and says, "look at the ugly box car" while they are driving the new one. heh....
Hey brother. I just jumped in the forums to look up some parts. I need brake pads, MT Fluid, new plugs...just the basics. I posted in the Maintenance area, but have not very useful responses thus far.

During my time reading over these 15 pages of random talk, I saw something that cought my eye. All the talk about worse gas milage!!! Now lets look at something...
2006 Scion xA EPA rated milage. 32/37 mt, 31/38 at (1.5L)
2006 Scion xB EPA rated milage. 30/34 mt, 30/33 at. (1.5L)
2006 Scion tC EPA rated milage. 23/30 mt, 22/29 at. (2.4L)
2006 Toyota Camary EPA rated milage. 24/34 mt, 24/33 at. (2.4L
So looking what the new engine seems like. Really it will be just the city driving that takes a hard hit in gas milage. Now I have read many posts in my time here on SL about xB owners seeing averages of 29mpg! I my self was able to manage a average of 36mpg with my xB, & a high of 39.8. When I traded it in for my ST Focus, I was able to average 32mpg with a high of 38. Now with my current Aerio, I manage 29mpg average with a high of 37. So it all goes on how one drives & where you drive at. I could see my self with a average dang near 30-33 with the new xB.
As for my own view on it.. It might just have me buying another scion...

Okay...it's not an HHR or a PT Cruiser....nor is it a Commander...nor a Compass either....not a Cherokee, nor a Liberty, forget it being a Patriot or a Wrangler. So we can be assured it isn't a Chevy or a Daimler/Chrysler. It's merely a cluster F*ck of a facsimile thereof.
Has anyone said anything about these being sold already? Someone told me that they were going to start selling these 08s in MAY of this year. Person who I talked to also didn't say much about the "5AXIS" kit that we all see with the model.
Hmm, I would want to get this box, but I think I'm due up for a different car now :T
