The 5Axis kit should be standard to make the new XB's appearance acceptable.

Wow haven't been here in a while.. I can't really decide if I like it or not. Overall I dig it, because it is still a Scion and it is still a box, more or less at least. But increasing the overall length is not something I like. I just managed to squeeze my xB into my garage.. got too much stuff packed into the front half. That extra foot on the new one could be the difference between fitting in the garage and parking in the driveway. I do like the sound of some of the interior improvements. Stereo sounds pretty awesome and sounds like a much more robust gauge cluster. Can't wait to see em on the road.

Yea, I kind of agree. I do not really like the way it looks very much yet... I must admit that it is growing on me though. I like the fact that it has a bigger engine than ours, and SC option!

You know you can alway clean out the garage to make another foot of room

I was liking the 2nd gen xB, until I saw this on MSN. The Chevy Groove is way too close to this......

I think the Chevy Groove looks a lot better than the new xB.

I like the way they both look, however I know there is a striking difference between quality and resale value. And of course they share features and lines, chevy is just copying Scion.

It would be interesting to see the Groove in a non-gussied up version to really see.

Oh yeah that's an xB killer.

Did not see any word of an actual production plan/ date. Is it someplace else?

The Groove is WAY smaller than the xB its like a JDM Kei car in size.

The xB looks really good in person. I saw it at NYIAS. Its really nice, the interior has the same texture as the tC and the 5axis kit is fiyah.

The thing that makes the xB interesting is that it is boxy in a world of suppository-shaped automobiles! If you want something rounder I'm sure that Chrysler will be happy to slip you a PT Cruiser!

You know just as every other post that winds up in this situation, I am going to safely assume that at least 75% of the people that see this post this the gold scion with the rims and the kit are what they will be getting when they go in for a new XB.

The stock 08 XB looks horrible. Hell, the kitted one looks pretty bad too. Any shiny new car with a kit and some rims and thats lowered is going to look.....kind of okay. I doubt ANY ONE of you who say you like this car is going to run out, get the car, then the body kit, then prep the kit to be put on, then lower the car and get tires. You are talking about spending thousdands (for a good job) to make the car les ugly, and its still going to look like a craptastic run of the mill econo-ride. At least the XBs now look different. So to the people are so excited for this car, who are you trying to fool?

ugly ugly ugly. why change a good thing. the whole reason i got an xb was because it was boxy and different from all other cars. now it is just an mini HHR/element hybrid.

You boys need to mosey back over to the gen 1 forum if you have nothing useful to add here. You might stop by and read the forum rules too on the way.

Seriously, it just comes off like an inferiority complex when you come here bashing the gen 2 xB. The gen 1 xB is a classic and a nice little car. There is no need to feel bad about owning it. Show your car a little respect.

Right on. I was seriously considering going into the gen 1 forums and ripping into that car's obvious and massive flaws, but I prefer not to lower myself to that level. I think a lot of people are getting sick and tired of the same few voices complaining about the 2nd gen. "It's a tC wagon!" Ohh...no? Please, not something with oooooodles of space, excellent dynamics, UNMATCHED value, and a wicked, fresh look(subjective, I love it)?

I bought a blue 2008 xb last night. I love the arm rest and the way the gear shift is compared to my 2005 xb, which I still love and will keep forever. I love the look of the body, the extra power compared to my "little" xb, also, the rear storage area has lighting. There is also lighting over the windshield while the main light in the middle of the car is the same. There are more and better drink holders in the 2008. It has an iPod connector too, which is beyond glorious. No more CD's rolling around in the car. I love my original spam can, but the upgrades to the 2008 are everything I knew I needed in the first one. I am in love with both my Scions.
