I'm not sure MS can say much about it being called the xP... since there's no way they're even close to being similar or related markets. They might have a lock on the name, but I would be if Toyota really wanted to, they could get the name.

it shouldnt have 6cyl or awd in my opinion its a scion not a toyota. the whole purpose of scion is to appeal to younger buyers and tuners. it needs to stay small if you need more size/seats/power and to waste more gas buy a taco or a tundra. bottom line is price and if we want a 12k base they gotta keep it simple and effecient aka scion

Default Awesome News!

I would buy one in a heart beat. I've always wanted a truck but one that is economical and this one I'm sure would be the right one for me. Where do I sign up or petition for one so Scion/Toyota can start producing them?

But hey you drop a turbo or s/c on that 2.4 liter and with that light of a truck with the 6 speed you are looking at a scion that would smoke a 454 and still get 30 mpg!

I bet it does turn out to be RWD. The Tacoma base model is about the same price and is RWD. Whay couldn't they re do a Tacoma base model, call it a Scion and go from there?

The 2.4 is the same from the tC isnt it? So that means a s/c should fit on it just fine. Hmm..

I think with the truck though and that 6 speed tranny I would have to go with a turbo set up! Your already going to have a hard enough time grabbing traction with it being rwd so boost the power at top end instead of lower end!

i would think so... but if they mounted it the same way that they do i the tC in the truck then that would just be wrong...

Ya... if it's made as described. But I think it's still really speculation, none of this is definite by any means (that I know of).
