Yep. At the cutoff is where the most color is produced. Below the cutoff is the color of light being produced, so 4300K will look white with a hint of yellow under the cutoff and blue/purple at/over the cutoff.

does anyone know any good D2R bulbs in 9006's? i plan on getting some HIDs in 6000K but i want to keep a decent cutoff since im using the older reflector housing.

if im not mistaken, i dont think d2r bulbs can fit in our reflector housings?

They can't. But there are companies that make rebased D2R bulbs for 9006 headlights. There are also adapters such as "Casper shields" for H4 applications.
