How much will it cost to fix?
I have about nail sized deep scratch on my door...
Paint is off, it shows white.
Anyone know how much it actually cost to fix it from bodyshop?
They have to fill it and repaint it right?
Actually I am going to request money to the dealer who made this dent...
Please give me a reasonable estimate~
Thanks~!

its just small scratch but i really hate it.
dealer fixed the dent but they didn't do a good job, its still there, it just got smaller..
i have really bad experience with dealer so I don't trust them at all, and they don't like me

had similar experience... where dealer dented a door
on a relatively new car. i refused any body work. i demanded
that they go to their new car lot, grab an identical car as mine,
and switch the doors. after much argument they finally
agreed and switched out the doors.

There wouldn't have been anything wrong with repairing the dent. I would actually be more scared of having them switch the doors. They will be ____ed at you for making a scene and making them do the extra work. If it was me, I would do a haphazard job at putting the new door on because you did something like that.
and believe me they did do a half @ss job... door wasn't
lining up right. i merely explained that the only way to get
rid of me was to do a good job, make me happy, and get me the hell out
of the dealership. i must have made sense b/c car was perfect the second time around,
and they even took the time to have it detailed.
i fogot to mention the car was less than 1 month old.
regardless of car age, why would i want to repair the dent to get
a bondo and aftermarket painted up door? doesn't make any sense.
especially when i got an undamaged new door instead.

The whole problem of keeping a car scratch and dent free gets to be really frustrating. There's just too many things outside of your control. It's a given that your car WILL eventually get dinged and scratched by others when you are away from it, no matter how hward you try and protect it. I have my car parked by attendants in a garage in San Francisco through a monthly fee agreement. I swear, all the dings and scratches that I got on my car in the one year I owned it came from that garage. Due to the way they cram as many cars as they could on the floors, the attendants themselves ding the cars when they try to squeeze in to get you car out of it's sardine slot. Just got my tC back from the body shop for over 500 dollars worth of body work to repair dings (paintless), scrapes scratches and chips cause by parking attendants.
Makes me think that the plastic dent resistant bodies on the Saturns really made sense! It also does not help that the car manufacturers inisists on protecting bumpers with just a thin coat of paint. Why not use big black rubber bumper inserts to avoid getting those nice liscense plate bolt dings from other cars.
I'm happy now with my almost perfect car again, but I wouldn't be surprised if I have to get her freshened up again after another year :eyebrow:
