I AM STILL WAITING ON MY VHT!! Its been like 3 weeks now and its still not here... they took the money but never sent anything about it... I am soooo tired of waiting!

But even now I see THEY are out of stock too. Maybe a supply problem? I dunno. You guys just make it too damn popular!

Davedavetc: Looking at that picture it says 7 oz. (Standard spraypaint can size methinks).

 

Ok, here is a great question for myself and other members who venture into this little project..

How many cans, on average, does it take to complete each type of light (ie. Tails, Brake & Mirror)

I would say 2 cans for both tail lights. I ended up buying 3 but 2 was just enough.

 

ill probly need more, cuz im gonna do tails, heads, and fogs.... maybe side mirrors idk.

 

ill just update the pix since its soo huge... and here is what i used...



1 can of that can smoke both tails, the third brake light, both turn signal and the emblems (scion and tC)... in my case it wasnt enough since i over sprayed it just on my emblems... haha... but 1 of 40 ml (i guess) should be enough to finish them...

okay quick question currently my car loosk like this



so how do i put on a clear coat so it would gloss

 

Clear coat or two, wet sand with at least 2000 grit sandpaper, clear coat, wet sand. I found wet sanding to be hard but I painted mine off the car and I found out later I didn't use as much water as I should have. So use a lot of water.

 

Yeah thats my pic when I did it the first time when I did a lighter coat, thats after me wetsanding.... All you do is spray the clear coat on it, lol. I think I used almost a full can of clear on both tails for that oh so nice and shiny look
