yea its the first time ive done this so i took my time, plus i kept going back to pep boys for things while watching the playoffs... anyway my left headlights are done just hooked them up and it looks like its worth the time! i think it makes sense for the rings to be incased in some sort of plastic, they break way too easily.

I'm still running my original rings, after being one of the first to have them... I'd do things a little differently now, as you guys have improved on the install a bit, and learned from ballast burnouts and used my plastidip technique.... ever since I dipped mine... not an issue since.

Water gets everywhere in there... especially if anyone every uses one of those DIY sprayer wash high pressure deals.... the best way to really protect them is a good plasti-dip
ok heres an update on my situation....after hours of work and 6 broken rings later, ive decided this wasnt worth my time anymore! the rings decided to break inside the housing on me a week and a half later after install, dont know what i did wrong but i guess its too late to fix now. after spending more then $200 i got absolutely nothing out of this. i think i will wait for umnitzas halo projectors!

heat shrink= rubber like tubing that you put around something and then take a lighter to it and it shrinks around whatever is insdie of it.
the soldering stuff is probably for the butt connectors/spade terminals he'll be using. Crimp + solder is the best way to connect things.
