In the owners book it looks like you are suposeed to turn them but they won't budge
what am I doing wrong ?

 

Yea, they're real tight to remove. I couldn't get a good grip on them so I used some pliers. Don't squeeze too hard cus the plastic is soft.

Turn them counterclockwise 90 degrees to remove.

 

You are doing nothing wrong,I had to use needle nose pliers to grab the bulb housing and turn it to the left, they are kind of hard to turn by hand the first time you do it specially if you have big hands...after you loose them the first time they come off easy
