Dyno: We're going to get Phillip back to the dyno one of these coming weekends. We have a few other cars to test and will fit his car in to the schedule.

Zach, I'll make sure one of the pipes and S-Pipes makes its way to you next week.

Sounds great! I should be installing some more lights, fog lights, and my head unit in the next few weeks, so that works out perfect!

Again, amazing results! I believe this is the only exhaust for the tC that doesnt have rasp with an aftermarket header.

im 99.8% sure there isnt a quieter/deep exhaust then this one. If I remember right people say there might be one other that isnt horrible sounding but ive been looking for 3 months now and finally made my choice w/ this one.

The car in the first sound clip on the first page is my car, that has only spipe back exhaust

the video of the 2nd car on the last page was phils car (intake, AW header, and spipe AND back exhaust with resonator) so you should be able to get a real good idea of how it sounds with those different videos and modifications.

Most exhaust companies are only making axel-back exhaust for the tC, where as draxas is designing the header and back exhaust. I have got nothing but compliments from tC owners about the way my exhaust looks and sounds. also keep in mind it is a LIFETIME WARRANTY, many other companys offer a 1 year limited warranty only, if that.

Will I still need to use an anti fouler with this S-Pipe since I will be adding the Alphawerks header?

You could also hold off on the header and wait till draxas releases theirs. they are putting in alot of R&D before they release it (like all of their products, they would rather take the time to get it right, rather then put a part out asap to make quick money; quality is very important to draxas)

they are looking into the CEL issue to look at alternative methods of correction as well

Wow, it sounds great with a header! I'm definitely waiting to see how Draxas' header turns out also (well, not that I am planning on buying car parts soon anyways, but still )

A turbo acts as a muffler/baffle so the sound level will drop. Almost identical tone, just quieter.

how about with the supercharger? same concept right...? ..should be less noise right? I already ordered the exhaust and spipe and im going to wait on the header and supercharger till next year.

Break_away or Draxas..... about when should i see my exhaust get shipped? I ordered last week but I know many many people already had them on preorder. What type of delay am I looking at so I can continue my planning?

Does anybody know if there was a good post on installing a new header? I am going to get the exhaust installed via a shop so they can put it on a lift and look up at whats going on. Even with a jack it will be a pain for me to do it. The header on theo the other hand might be easy enough to do myself since its going to be the draxas header (if i do it at all). How easy would it be to swap the header out w/ the stock one? From what I hear its pretty easy. Sorry for all the questions but I have many questions and know you guys have all the answers.

I really would like to go with the Draxas header but I don't know if I can handle the wait. I know they have their hands full with other projects and the developement on the S-pipe took a good amount of time. Mind you I know you can't rush everything but Alphawerks header put out some pretty impressive dyno numbers. So I'm thinking I might just have to go with them.

Header install thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=56520

A supercharger will likely make the exhaust louder since its increasing airflow. The turbo muffles the exhaust since it is in the exhaust path. The supercharger is belt driven and doesnt have the same effect.

I cant tell you when you should be expecting your exhaust system jwaggz82, that is a question for draxas, and i am sure he will be checking this forum very regularly.

the header release date is estimated to be feb.-mar. Their is going to be alot of R&D in this header to give tC owners what they want

and as instigator said, a turbo will make the exhaust quieter since its run off exhaust , where as the sc is belt driven so you can expect the exhaust to probably get a tad louder. How much louder (or louder at all) i cant answer because draxas hasnt tested their exhaust system (with or without a header) on a turbo or supercharged tC.

Sounds good - i think the safe bet would be to see the header in march (which a few months away with R&D ...come on...thats a great time. 3months to make a product the best as possible. ....I cant ask for much more. Ill be waiting to see which setup they chose and what the performance gains are. Since ill have the exhaust setup installed ill prob get car stands and jack my car up and install the header myself. I hear that the header is hard to install when the supercharger is installed (which sounds very possible) but can someone comment on the truth to this?
