Default 250HP!!!

hey guys i guess would be for the experienced tuner heads out there.... how could i make my tC push around 250hp? its a automatic and i kind of want it to be all motor for the mean time but i was also considering getting a supercharger for it cause im not a big fan of turbos in an automatic but i could be wrong.... please any help would help!

You will spend 10k to maybe get 250 whp all motor.

You could maybe do it for a little less with a supercharger, but they're very unreliable trying to get that much power out of it.

It is a sure thing with any turbo kit. Turbo's are great, why do you not like them?

Not for a automatic I feel like you don't get the full use compared to a standard... But that's my opinion what you think?

You will need to explain this further for it to make sense. Why wouldnt you get the full benefit of a turbo on an automatic transmission car?

IMO depending on the setup/size/tune a turbo car will run just as well as a SC or an NA car.

My first turbo kit was a turbotoyotas kit and dyno'd at 244 whp at 7 psi with stock motor & stock tranny and the car felt & ran beautifully.

the biggest drawbacks to turbo'ing an auto tC is the life expectency can drop and it might need some fortifying to take that much power depending on your driving habits. You should atleast get a transmission cooler.

but the auto has some advantages such as longer gearing so you stay in gear in boost longer, and boost pressure doesn't drop between upshifts because you never close the throttle.

Sell it and buy something with 250hp? Why that number? I'm s/c 5spd at 215 to the wheels. Stock boost (~7psi), Dezod green header, trd muffler. You know once you're at 250hp you'll want more. Start saving and go turbo. My s/c has been flawless the past 50k+ miles but it probably wouldn't live up to your power expectations. That's why I suggest turbo or different car.

ants07tc im in the same situation as you. there are threads i have read on turbos out there, that go great with the car but cant really expect much on auto. I have been debating on s/c or turbo.. but one things for sure, once you get where you want in power.. your gonna want that extra more.

Turbo! My tC made 253whp Turbonetics kit on 7psi with a stock engine, open DP and e-manage. Runs great. With your automatic, I'd use a trans cooler to start and see if it holds up. You should be able to make 250hp no problem, just keep an eye on that trans.
