I drive a 2006 Scion tC manual and just got home from school. I wanted to install my subs in my car so I went to and re park it in the driveway but when I put the key in and tried to start it it wouldn't turn on.
The fuel pump kicks on and everything in the car turns on (lights radio etc) but the engine won't start or crank. I used an OBDII reader and got the Code B2799.

Any help please?

Where do you think the first place I should look for is? Check the harness?

Do you have a spare key? Could be the key that is bad. Have you done anything electrical near the steering column? could also be a cut wire

Turns out that it was actually the starter that randomly died but I'm still worried about that code that I got so imma look into it at a later date. Thanks for the advice btw

change the battery in the key...mine is about to go, gotta bang it a couple times sometimes to get it to work...got a 2008...my 2
