Yea, I saw that, I think it was just a bump stop, which would probably help for full throttle quick shifts more than anything else. I'm going to try the Grounding DIY first, and then I might move to that.

Its different with this car, I usually tear the BMW apart every weekend on a whim to fix something, I have to file every suggestion through her first with this car. Haha

well, i got a reply from a friend of mine who is like a BMW guru. the guy has a fully customized e39 bmw 540 with a bored out engine, and swapped the manual transmission for one to handle more power..

anyway, he said this about CDV

Well, CDVs are only on the non-M cars. M cars don't have CDVs. the upgrade would be to simply remove the CDV... provided that the driver is proficient enough to work the clutch without one. The main urpose of a CDV is to provide a recess of pressure while engaging a gear, slightly delaying it and allows for easier and smoother engagement.
