if they are all the same then why do some make more hp. All the cold air intakes make diffrent hp readings. so u do get what u pay for

 

there are many things that factor in when computing hp like amb. temp. engine temp. elevation... so if 4 intakes were tested on the same car one right after another over the period of a couple hours then the first one might make more hp than the last one.

 

Thats right. . . . Heat makes a big difference. As heat rises and the intake gets hotter HP is reduced, if u test on a cold engine HP will be higher. Theres a lot to factor in. U cant always listen to the big companys either, they may say an intake can make up to, say. . . . . . 5-8 HP but it may not be accurate. Like i said the only thing that would make a real difference between intakes is the filter.

 

I know that heat is a factore. hell just get the ebay intake. Size, filter, cold or short ram air are all factores in whp. hp doesnt mean any thing. But ebay is fine if it breaks then it does u only paided 40$ if that.

 

BINGO, you got it my friend. Get a cheap intake pipe and buy a good filter for less than 100$. Dont waste your money on a dumb name.

the ebay intake copies work just as well as the authentic part, just use a high quality filter and thats about it
