Lol yeh I can't see how anyone would want a header

 

lol yea i just liked it because it looked nice in the engine bay

 

to me it didn't look that great, after a while it tarnished and looked like crap, besides a painted header cover looks better and doesnt cause a nasty sound!

 

yea i mean my car didnt sound bad because i had a big resonator put on and my megan oe-rs exhaust wasnt loud so it sounded good but as soon as i changed to the injen ses exhaust it just sounded terrible lol so i just took off the header and now its good, and im not into shows or anything anymore so it didnt matter =/

 

The OP never stated he was making power, he stated he eliminated rasp. That has nothing to do with power, everything to do with exhaust.

It was you that said you beat a buddy in a tC by 2 inches so you removed it that's your choice but for his setup he benefits from it even if you did not.

 

I definitely wouldn't say 240hp lol not on an auto with a 75 shot, hell not on my manual with a 75 shot.

The boltons help with air flow though, better than stock with nitrous.

 

The point I was making was his setup isn't I/H/E alone, he's spraying and the way it is wired in he can't say "okay' i'll run you w/o spray". Just like I can't say i'll run you and not hit boost, it'll be impossible, he won't be able to go WOT. If he knows in advance i'm sure he can cut the 12v source to the solenoids so everything could be fair.

I know full well I/H/E doesn't make power, I have I/H/E and didn't make power...the biggest waste of money when you invest in those alone not to mention horrid rasp. Unless the header is ceramic coated it'll need to be polished in no time to keep it looking halfway decent but it is still garbage for a stock setup but then again no one would invest in all that stuff if they wanted power, just the sound and for show.

You're exactly right a header alone is a waste and looks hideous after 3 months, I totally agree.

His car can beat most s/c tC's for a few runs until the juice ran out.

How do you figure raspy? you are just hearing the speakers...cuz it was recorded on digital camera. And no there isn't a header. And you are stupid, there is no rasp period. that is why i got magnaflow, cuz it is quieter and not ricey or raspy.

 

^^ maybe its the speakers but it does sound raspy

 

Hum....I have a Magnaflow catback, no header and it still sounded raspy at higher RPM's but to each his own, as long as you don't think it's raspy that's all that matters.
