I'd be scared pushing it past 350whp.

I know its been done, I just personally wouldn't.

With aftermarket Rods and Pistons on stock sleeves, people push it to 400-500whp.

The tune has a huge part to play in all of this.

A lower quality tune will lead to disaster fast.

Get your ____ tuned by one of the best, no guarantees on it lasting forever, but it will last longer than a crap tune.

You might want to think about tuning each cylinder separately, monitor for knock, retard for more reliability but less power, might be expensive, but you'll be able to get maybe 100,00+ out of it as a daily driver as long as you dont push it to the limit every minute you get a chance...

But all of what i just said doesnt mean crap if you dont monitor your oil levels/pressures, engine temps, exhaust gas temps, individual cylinder pressures, a/f ratio on each cylinder, etc...

Good luck, sounds like it will be quite a quick little ride.

i think something else to consider is that on a s/c car you will actually be losing quite a bit of power from the engine due to the design of the s/c it self. so your going to be seeing much more of a loss to the wheel then with a turbo'd car. basically what whp limits are safe for one doesn't mean that it is for the other. so while a lot of the turbo guys are safe in the 300-320whp range you definitely wouldn't be with a s/c. the safety area would be lower.

Depends on the year. The later ones are, while the older XRS was a VVTL-i 1.8 liter from the Celica GT. If it's the 2.4L, then it is the same engine as the tC.

Yea i have the 2.4L. So basicaly i can do the same mods as them, boosting it would not cause it to blow ( with proper tunning)?
