nitrous help
have triple threat kit coming in for my auto... plan on using a 65 shot.
was wondering if anyone knew the shift times of an auto at WOT... i believe at WOT it will still shift right at redline or close to it...
i have a window switch so im trying to find the best rpm range for performance but as well as keeping it safe...
was thinking 2nd-4th gear... 2500 rpm- 5700 rpm... we redline at 6200 rpm i believe...
anyone have any info that would help me with this? thanks

Let me know if you have any other questions
ok thanks, that makes sense about starting it a bit higher in the RPM range... however, i have an auto, do you know if at WOT if it shifts at redline still?
what happens if it shifts and its still spraying, does that spell automatic doom to my engine?
i will probably start it out at 3000 rpm so that it kicks in right away in 2nd... i dont want to keep it on until 6000 incase the auto shifts a bit sooner... would 5700 be safe for an auto you think?

Do you really need to have a window switch for an Auto? I mean I am only using mine during racing so I dont want it to constantly spray. Is my thinking right or wrong? I am a complete nemb at this. Sorry to threadjack but your talking about nitrous and have an auto like me.
the guy i know who is installing it said he will tune it... i believe you just have to make sure enough fuel is being pumped with the shot since it is a wet kit..
does anyone know if auto's shift at redline when WOT?

i did get a window switch... and i plan on running a 65 shot... i have asked a few very knowledgeable people on nitrous and they said i do not need any engine management system to tune it...
still waiting if anyone knows if at WOT an auto shifts at redline?

i cant answer your wot question but it really doesnt matter cuz the trans shifts way before fuel cut its not redline u have to worry about when spraying its fuel cut so at the very end of redline......and as far as spraying while shifting....on autos its fine since u never let off the gas pedal...the reason why manuals cant spray while shifting is because when u let off the gas nitrous will not be sucked into the intake and will puddle...
