Problems shifting
Ok, when you say don't drive it to hard, you mean don't redline it? heh, if your stil breaking in the car when you think i should shift? usually i shift around 3,000, but once in a while i do 4,500, or 5,000. and when im on the freeway i have it steady at 4,000 rpms, and it's got less than a thousand miles on it, soo i take it im not doing to good at breaing it in then eh?
Eh.. i think your doing pretty good so far.
when the manual says while breaking in the car "not to keep it at a set rpm for long highway drives" it means about 15 miles and up. driving at 4k doing 80 for 5 to 10 miles isn't going to hurt nothing.
Once my car got past 5k miles it started seeing 4 to 5k rpms on a daily basis. and thats only cause i was getting to know my shift points and I was chicken for a while after 1000.
Red line 1,2 after that if you red line your just passing the power band and bogging. for 3,4,5th you need to find the sweet shift points.

i get the same problem but its only when i shift into third. it typically happens when im pulling out of somewhere quick or going around a corner. i usually end up grinding third and it seems to be happening more frequently. i brought it to the dealer and they dove it 2 miles and couldn't replicate what was happening so they didnt do anything to try and fix it. they pretty much said we dont know what you are talking about... tough crap.
