To who ever said the B&N doesn't sit lower than stock this is a pic of my stock and B&N sitting side by side on the box. You can tell it actualy sits lower once installed just by the position and how much of the shifter skirt crumbles up compared to stock. WARNING it's a hugh picture, I'm to lazy right now to downsize it. Love it and have had it over a year and half now.

The shifter cable bushings are simply steel bushings that replace the factory rubber ones. They give your shift a more crisp, precise feel. I am running the NST bushings with a custom short shifter (similiar to a Doc I's shifter) and I love it.

i have them, they do help. it's not a huge huge difference but they are worth the small price they cost. the shifting did feel a little more precise with them but the shifter w/ the base bushings itself is where the biggest difference comes from, it really stiffens everything up.

i have the Ingalls damper, the NST shifter cable bushings, and the Creative Compacts short shifter with the bushings they come with installed and that setup is awesome. it's pretty inexpensive and highly recomended. they only other thing left now is to switch to redline MT90 gear oil. which i will do in the next week or so hopefully. from what people say the oil also helps quite a bit.

Ingalls damper $160
+NST shifter cable buchings $22
+Creative Compacts short shifter $69
+Redline MT90 i'm guessing around $25 for the 3 QT's
=total of $275 give or take a couple bucks

PERFECT SHIFTING.... PRICELESS! lol

Does anyone know if any short shifter is slanted towards the driver?

I have a friend who has a Mazda3 w/ mazdaspeed shortshifter. When I drove his car his shifter was slanted towards the side to make it feel very natural. I'm looking for a similar shifter does anyone know who makes one? I've tried searching for one, but can't find the information.
Any help would be great.

I'm not completely sure but I think I read somewhere that the Megan is the same as the CC.

Are you guys using the stock boot, or are you using a shorter boot to accomodate the shorter height? I'd like this to look as stock as possible.

I am just using the stock boot. I just moved the ring on the inside of the boot down.

I'm planning on going with the cc shifter. It seems to fit my needs better than any other. I already have the cable and base bushings installed with mt-90 on my stock shifter which helped, but the throws are just too long. My biggest worry is that it is going to take crazy effort to shift with the cc shifter. I drove my friends 350Z and the gears were nice and close, but I wouldn't say that it was hard to get it into gear! Hopefully...

I just got the twm stage 2 shifter, base and cable bushings, short shift boot and **** installed. It feels soooooo much better than stock did. My only gripe is that the boot doesn't meet flush with the **** and I experience some "crunching" when shifting from first to second.

it's not hard to get into gear after a day or 2. just make sure to grease everything up too. but it will be hard for the first day or 2 but it's no big deal. i love mine. i actually don't think anyone has bought the creative compacts one and didn't like it. along with the base bushings, the cable bushing, the mt-90 fluid and the ingalls damper the shifting is awesome. so quick and solid.

I installed the Doc Iso short shifter last weekend and love it so far. It reduces throw and length just enough and I had no issue with missing gears or adapting to it right off the bat. I have the cable bushings from him as well... but I have been busy as hell since then and havent had a chance to install them. I thought I would one night this week, but the one night I wasnt busy elswhere I had a head unit and scan gauge led swap to do for a couple of people

The install is easy as some have said. The push washer is cake to remove with a small screwdriver to get behind it first and a medium size screwdriver to pry it off. Took me a minute or less I would say.

I've had the CC short shifter on for about a month now, I still don't understand why it's so stiff...i'm going to take it off and possibly check everything, it's seriously STIFF! Does anyone have the same problem?
