Agreed, page 10 and still confused. You can risk getting the TWM 2 and have bad 1-2 shifts. Stick with stock height and short shifts with TRD, or save money and get the CC which is similar to the TWM but doesn't have a record of bad shifts.

Is that summary correct?

Not sure about the others, but for the TWM satge 2. I had the same 1-2 shifting problem. Then i was suggested to purchase NST shifter bushing from their website, ($22). After installed (took 3 minutes), i have NEVER missed a shift since, and i mean slamming gears!!! I'm in love with my setup now!!

some people are afraid to say so in fear of getting flamed because is a no name generic blah blah
Ive seen the same ones on E-Bay. I would be very careful when buying a cheap shifter. My friend bought one for a Civic and it was brand new, looked really nice, came with a nice ****, but after about a month he was racing and went to throw it in third and the shifter bent in half.....the shifter was made out of cheap aluminum.

after over a month now with my TRD STS, i can say that ive almost gotten used to it so much that it feels kind of long again. that first week, i noticed a huge difference, but it wore off soon after that, and; like the springs; felt like this is what the car should have just come with in the first place rather than something aftermarket.

On the right, a TWM Stage 2.

On the left, an OEM shifter with the pivot ball knocked up the shaft about 8/10 of an inch and the top 1.5" inches of the shifter cut off.

Shifts are reduced by over 40%. The longest thow (1st to 2nd) is 2.1". The only shifter you'll ever need. And everyone has the part required to make it. So make it!

Anyone know if you can put a TWM perfomance shift **** (like the M1 Abram) on a CC shortshifter? I like the TWM stage 2 but I worry its going to be too short, thanks for the reply

I have a Doc I custom SS. It's freakin' bueno. Much shorter than TWM. I wonder what the Perrin is like..

Ehy doc. Ever think about shortnening a TWM shifter? Just a thought..as that ran through my head while I packaged up my TWM.

What Short shifter is that? The pivot seems to have moved about .5". I think mine was moved around 1.5". I should have taken pictures. Damnit.

Nice rims.

It's one of mine. Standardized GearSwitcher throw reduction (50%) and height reduction (2"). ALaS, yours is a specialty piece-- I'll likely not make another like it.

I have read through 13 pages and I still don't know what to pick.
TRD - same height but shorter throw, but then i want shorter height too.
TWM SS 2 - I want this because it has a shorter height and a shorter throw, but I read about the 1-2 grinding which is scaring me. I also got the 10% studen discount from it.
ARK - I haven't heard much from people talking about it. But it comes with a ****. The height doesn't change much but it has shorter throws.
CC- This one is comparable to the TWM but I read in another thread about the tranny ripping it out and the price scares me. I am scared about the quality of it.
B&M- The height is shorter but no difference. I do not like.

Someone please help me lol
