If those numbers are accurate, that would definitely be a sweet deal! I had the roots style GM Supercharger on my 02' Z24. The intake, header, and 2.5" exhaust really brought out some extra ponies in combination with the blower to give that extra civic killing oomph! However the ability to intercool in the future is priceless. Heat/detoination killed my beloved Z24, but that was also because of the smaller pulley I was running. The ability to even add an intercooler would have been very nice, heat & detoination = BOOM, however it all ended with a craked piston. It was all warrantied however, yes even with the smaller pulley and aftermarket add ons. GM just plopped in a new piston and gaskets in it though, and after I parted ways with my beloved "Bessy" for fear she would blow again, this time not to be warrantied. Sorry about my sob story, but please take this advice about the WARRANTYand INTERCOOLER if you get the blower. VORTECH makes some nice ones, expensive, but worth it! Can anyone else see my plans here for when I get back the the states from my deployment?

All these numbers being thrown around is really starting to toy with my emotions. Why won't TRD put a press release out? Instead they are ____ing off potential customers. I will just wait to see what the numbers are. 205whp and 245bhp would be hot though.

Does 245 bhp and 205 whp add up shouldnt it be more like 220 whp not 205? Either way 245 bhp and 205 whp would be totally worth 3200, plus we'd still have the warrantie

those numbers are from two differnt sources. I don't think they are supposed to add up. The only thing that worries me is the TRD sparks website claiming 25% increase, which is 40hp. TRD is supposedly a credible source. I sure hope they are wrong on this one.

I really want to beleive that source, but the problem is that ever since april people have had sources that said the sc was coming out next month or next week and it never comes out, not only does it not come out, but there is almost no info on it, which causes all these problems with speculation. but im hoping for the best

All of the sources I have talked with (since early this year) have quoted Sept, even with all the other speculation going around. I believe I heard the sept release date back in March. But they also say they hear it is 200 BHP, which is ridiculously low for that price. But, none of us know ANYTHING about it until it is released by TRD, so we just all have to wait and see.

I just ordered my tC monday afternoon from sunnyside scion in North Olmsted, Ohio. I got a classic silver 5 speed w/ floor mats and the TRD supercharger. The price for the supercharger is 3200+425 for install. I have the purchase order in front of me as i type this. The supercharger WILL be out within the first 2 weeks of september and I was told the hp number is around the 210-215 area........whether that's at the wheels or at the crank i do not know. My car is currently on it's way to the US and is scheduled to arrive within 3-4 weeks. My TRD parts guy confirmed that the supercharger will be out early september, i was present when he called TRD to ask for the release date. He even made it a point to ask if it was for sure this time.

Dyno that bad boy!

North Olmsted.. the company I work for has an office there, so I have travelled there for work... the things I remember most from that night were Guinesses at Shehans, LOTS of vodka ant pool at the Winking Lizzard and Panini's So spent most of my time out in Cleveland obviously!

I just love how ever supercharger thread dissolves into bickering and speculation

It sure would be nice to have some real numbers, yep...then again, it sure would be nice to have a release date that doesn't keep changing!

All cynicism aside, I'm with everyone in hoping that 200bhp isn't it, otherwise its definitely IHE for me.

You would have to refinance it and I doubt that TFS would do it, you'd have to use a 3rd party bank.

mine is included in the financing.........but it's being put on as an option. If you already have your car, you would have to refinance.

I wouldnt know why TFS wouldnt do, it they would make more money, alo tmore im guessing, cuz if you just bought a tc im guessing you dont neccesarrily have the 3k to drop on a SC, but having payments would be a different story
