Just checked the oil level after 2000 miles of city driving. Using Mobil 1 10-30 full synthetic now. She hasn't used any oil and it's still a light honey color. Getting real close to 8000 miles on the rebuild now. Should be safe for our next 2 out of state trips equaling about 1500 miles.

It's been awhile since I have updated this with mileage... The car now has 175,900 miles and with Mobile 1 10-30 full synthetic it uses about 1/2 quart in 6,000 miles. Haven't done anything else to the car but change oil and put gas in it My girl got 32 MPG highway in it on a trip to MS a couple of months ago.

At 180,xxx miles now... Just changed the oil again and it's dark but not very dirty for 6,000 mile changes. Thinking about selling it and getting something different.

Bought my girl a 15' Buick Encore 1.4l turbo so I have Macy up for sale now. Currently @ 190,500 miles and still runs like she did 3 years ago. She has been a good car but it's time to rotate her out of our collection of vehicles If anyone is interested PM me. The engine has 31k and the tranny has 66k since the rebuild. Would make a awesome supercharged or turbo build.

Forgot to mention that I also figured out the cat code on the car. I used a oil filter adapter plate M18 x 1.5 fastener (like the gold one in the pic below) that was laying around in the garage. I drilled the inside so the O2 would barely fit through and had very little air gap. Never threw a code again meaning that the catalytic converter was bad. It's not a fix for anyone that has emission testing in their county but a good way to test the converter before buying one.
