Wait, there is no speed limiter disable mechanism? That doesn't make sense. Even the Emanage Ultimate has that. Guess I will have to pick up another mechanism for that. It can raise the rev limit, but not disable the speed cut...that's a little weird.

I dont see how the hydra cant do that, since the factory ECU only performs CAN functions (and even less likely with the 2.6 being capable of DBW)

I will let you guys know once I have my hydra 2.6 installed and tuned!

I'm gonna wait a few months till after 2.6 comes out, so I can upgrade my hydra.

*whistles*

=)

I know you can vary the rpm limit.

I think its called RPM Soft Limit/RPM Hard Limit.

I'm not so sure about the speed limiter. I'll hook up the laptop tomorrow and check it out.

There is no speed cut with the Hydra installed. I can attest to that. I have redlined that sucker in 5th gear easily and by redline I mean 6800 RPM

Speed cut would be hit at 127mph. Unless you where doing more than that, it will not be hit.

127 is cool for me as long as its a fast 127, I would leave it at that.. the tranny has taken some abuse already at that speed

Dont forget that the gearing wont allow for that much faster than 127 anyway

Shyt with my old setup and the VSS cut i pulled all the way to 140 with ease and no dipping with power either. I think i have found a way for the hydra to work to 140 if any have questions feel free to PM.

10sec trap speeds are higher than 127mph. So, that's one of the primary reasons to get rid of the speed cut. Feels like it needs more room to stretch.

Yeah, that confused me. If you hit speed cut at 127, you couldn't be reving to 6800 rpm in 5th, as the speed cut would come in before you made it to 6800. So, you must have been traveling faster than 127. According to PTunning, they raised their rev limit to 6500rpm, and therefore subsequently increased the cars top mph to 147. PTunning mentioned after taking off the speed limiter that the car would go to 141mph.

According to PTunning it's 141mph with the stock rpm limit. They raised theirs to 6500rpm and said it should be around 147mph now. 140mph is good enough for me.
