Renewing my tag in florida, isn't a problem. So i'm safe ^^ for now......

But yea, you lose the OBD/OBD-II stuff when the hydra is hooked up. I'm pretty sure the new 2.6 version which will come out in a few months, doesn't support it either.

I thought all cars lose the OBD stuff when you go with a standalone????

no OBD test here in my county, all they do is check your lights, signals, steering, brakes and make sure it runs

Im pretty sure you can have someone hook you up for some extra bucks but it would be nice if hydra or aem can come up with an OBD compliant standalone

So, talking with Tchargers.com, since the stock ecu is still in place, the OBD should work still. If this is the case, then I can wipe my forhead and my standalone dreams are still alive.

The OBD works. But you will still have CEL's. No of mine show on main gauge face but if you scan it will show CEL's. Mine are due to the stock sensors not being plugged in.

I still run my Scangauge 2 which works of the OBD2 port and can read, TPS, water temp, mph, rpm, among other things.

Yeah our AEM EMS is like that too, but I tried to get a car to pass NYS emissions, which is an OBD2 plug-in test, and it did not for a few sensors and such not registering.

Hmm...would it be possible to disconnect the unit, and let the car be driven off the factory computer and not go into boost? Presently, this is how I pass emissions (as I'm throwing a too rich code as my only code). I don't disconnect my emanage, I reset it and drive to the station staying in closed loop. No boost = No Cel. After I'm done with the test, I hit boost, and the Cel comes back. It would be nice if I can maintain the same "trick" with the Hydra, or just be able to disconnect the hydra and plug whatever sensors back in and let the factory computer stay in closed loop and pass that way.

If you go in on the stock ECU it will pass with no CELs of any kind it will pass.

^^well, I guess when I get around to it, I will just have to make it a simple and easy switch and be all good.

Yep. We can disable that for our AEM EMS. We did it for Dan Gardner.
