dont know for sure. but, i have had my mbc set up this way for a long time. i turn the **** to the minus arrow all the way for spring pressure, and then to plus arrow for any additional boost that i want. vacuum line is cheap so its worth a shot.

i have ur same kit stock motor n i run my wg set up like brett and have always used it like brett....using only the "top" one on the mvs will give u inaccuarate reading n it actually "leaks" from there i know first hand cuz i didnt have enough vaccume line to put on both so i jus put it on the top n the car ran ok but it is so much better after i drove to get vaccume line n put it on both...no disrespect to anybody who runs its dif but for the best n most accurate reading i would run it the way bretts running it. try that out n let us know exactly what happens n possibly u will get better results jus watch ur afrs cuz it may be dif u know

Ok so i set it up the way brett and johnny said and time first time i drove the car i saw 10psi with my afr's low to mid 10's. So i went to up the boost and it went down to 8psi....so do i have it on backwards? Which side is the inlet and outlet? Im using a basic TurboXS mbc.

Oh ok ill try it when i get home....also i did notice when i was tryn to go up in boost that the boost cintroller was leaking air....could it be that the mbc is bad and it giving me a boost leak or its because it could have been on backwards....once i can figure out how to actually have control over the boost im off to the dyno....

***UPDATE***........Hey guys. Its been awhile since ive been on. Ive been really busy and with the headaches my car has been giving me, i just left it alone for a little bit and havent touched it. But besides all that, today was a new day. my car showed a lot of progress that made me fall in love with my car again...lol So....first thing, my wastegate only had 3 of the 6 screws that holds the cover where the spring goes. now all 6 are there. Also, when we discussed that i needed to remove my stock air box and fab up an intake.....Rob over at Descendant emailed me about a intake that they are now offering for the turbo kit that gets rid of the stock air box. He offered it to me at a good price. And when i called to order it they did NOT want to honor the price that was given to me. Even when i fowarded the email to them proving the price Rob gave me. They wanted like $50 more. So i decided to go a different route, not because of the money but its the princible. So i went to Advance Auto parts and bought a MAF adapter from Spectre. Part # 8705. and a Spectre air filter. spent about $35. then i took the car for a ride and all i can say is WOW! it was like a different car. the car was boosting in all gears (like it should), turbo was a LOT more responsive. all the boost issues i was having was gone. Oh and as far as the boost controller, i put back my AEM Tru Boost and ran it the way i had it since day 1. and now i had controll of the boost. So now i can finally go get retuned again. Ill probably make an appointment for next week....and ill will post up the final results! thanks for all the help....

UPDATE... actually $24.95 more is what you where quoted.

Rob at Descendant remember's this clearly... I offer you the intake for $125 via PM or email which was $24.95 less than the regular price of $149.95 if you wanted to purchase it from me right then & there.

I've often offer these one time offers to many customers here on Scionlife or who call in and if you don't take advantage of it right then & there sorry for you loss.

Not bad business...it was a one time offer. We take 100's of call's a day and try to help everyone we come across. This customer was hustling me for a GOOD DEAL, CHEAPEST PRICE...then says I'll call you right back to order it and over 4 weeks later expects a DIFFERENT sales guy to honor than.

If customer would have contact me directly since I gave him the deal he probably would have gotten it.

CAN'T MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY...WE TRY THOUGH!

Actually I was quoted $125 shipped. Then when I called I was told to toward ur email to Kareem. And his exact words " the boss said I can not honor that price. It's going to be $170 shipped. I was not informed that I needed to contact you indirect. But its fine, its not the money its the princible. I work on the retail side myself, and when I quote someone a price I stick to it unless cost goes up. And I doubt that's what happened....

i am confused as to how thats not bad business. you offered a price and instead of your sales team trying to work with him you guys chased him away. the result of this was your team didnt make a sale and more then likley lost a customer over the events that transpired. what did Descendant get out of this?

Ok...I figured everything out....the 2 main things were that my Forge diverter valve didn't have the spring for it....I bought it used and it came with some random spring(which I didn't kno)....also my main vaccum line from my i.m. to my vaccum block was tee-d off to my valve cover....now its boosting like it should, cosistantly and I have boost control.....so this week it is going back on the dyno and ill post pics and possibly a video...thanks again
