im building it. itll be my first build, but ive got some automotive experience. (ATI for automotive) and just started at Honda.
sent the block and head to mesa balancing for machine work. bc turbo cams and valve trane - ferrea valves std size street port and polish and 3angle valve job

Cp pistons .5 overbore, bc rods- not the top of the line ones, but the step below. knife edged crank, deleting the balance shafts. went with the cometic head gasket- i have heard the oem one is better, but giving them a try.

currently ive got the greddy turbo 18g, but ive heard and am researching upgrading the internals to a 20g... mostly to be able to keep the IC piping and mani. ive got 750 cc injectors and aem fuel rail but need to upgrade the fuel pump and set up the return style on it. im also workin on either getting a haltech providing i can find a tuner for it, and my budget allows me, or the dezod AP unit. havent decided i also plan on sticking to 93 octane.

wish me luck

sounds nice! can you obtain gains on piggyback? im currently getting my head fully built and would love one but i heard piggyback plus new intake manifold wont let you see the effects a standalone will give you?

and crippie the 20g is an AMAZINGLY fun turbo quick spool and at 18psi its hauls some @ss!

Of course you can. Whether you use the AEM FIC with a PNP harness or a Uni-Chip your gonna make WHP!

If you don't believe me call Jamie at TRD Sparks. They are heavily trusted in the community and that's his xB in the video!

If I'm correct he has the TRD exhaust, TRD Intake & our DESCENDANT Intake manifold...tuned with a UNI-CHIP.

Depends on what kind of boost numbers you run but from the cars we've been tuning over the past 20 months from our DESCENDANT home in Torrance, CA we seen the following results:

if you run 8-12psi
expect + 8-10WHP

if you run 15-18psi
expect an increase of 20WHP
**you gotta have FUEL SYSTEM...OEM pump & regulator have been replaced at this point.

if you run or want to run 20psi+ OEM manifold doesn't work anymore. Its exploded!

Once again there is no actual before and after dyno in either boosted or n/a setups. Plus tuning is a big factor also if you get this.

think of it like this...How often are you at 22psi? In the race conditions we test things...which is ON & OFF the boost...for 20 minutes straight, in the Cali dessert heat, they break. A leak is a leak & once its done that its failed.

Thats not true...thats totally false.

What do you want to see?

We (along with EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD) have stock tC numbers & xB numbers.

We have tC & xB numbers Boosted with the Intake manifold.

We thru Jamie @ TRD Sparks have N/A numbers tuned w/ Uni-Chip.
