i say send it off to a shop that you want work on it throw that stock short block in it and enjoy it till september and then ship the car off and build it while you are gone so you have something to look forward to when you come back. my buddie bought a 350z touring edition while he was in iraq and had his mom drop it off at a shop and he just got it when he came back.

man sorry for what happened.. say go back to your tuner and tell them their tune blew your motor at 6 psi, that way they will need to get that tuner out.. a friend's prelude got messed up with that same shop too.. but sounds like a build would be fun! you can buy good motor from junk yards and send it as core..

Ok guys i'm keeping tC and with Todd's help will get myself built short block from ERL.
Ace honestly i'm not sure if that was the tune that blew my engine up, since i did boost before it was tuned and there is a possibility i messed it up then and it just showed up now. Plus i can really blame it on him since the car worked perfectly for almost 2 month.
what do you think ?

Ya you will be fine with the Fic, but of course a full standalone will give you the best results.
I think the guys from Puerto Rico were fully built and tuned with E-Manage Ultimate. They were over 500 Hp

depending on how you mean built...most folks will tell ya that standalone is your best bet...i kinda agree with that but then again i dont....say you just built the bottom end, stronger rods, forged pistons, bearings, ect...then id lean towards no i dont think you have to have a standalone...dont get me wrong it would be nice but not a gata have deal...however if you go all out and go with a larger bore, bc cams, pnp heads, larger valves and want to raise the rev limit in order to make full use of the engine then yeah deff gata go standalone...
most the stuff i listed really doesnt matter what engine managment you have...not too sure about the cams though...id think you would need something better than a piggy back..not sure though...
long story short if you can afford it then get a standalone...if not well then save for one...lol...can you make it run on a piggy back...sure i dont see why not...
dont take my word for it though...i havnt had a standalone yet...lol

yeah bud nice.. well i found 07 block wwith crancshaft for 575 shipped.
But then while i was on thephone with ERL, Guru from the forums here sent me PM about his block. I'm just waiting for him to respond.
Does anyone know what year his tC is ?
also i know that pre- 07 tCs and 07+ tCs blocks are little different.
pre 07 does NOT have oil squirts and 07+ has them.
Now the question is what if lets say i get built block but it will be 05-06 version, will it work with my tC and 07 head ?
Todd explained to me that squirts are basically to lubricate at the very bottom of the engine and that it wont matter much, Don from Dezod said to preferrably look for 07+ block.. i'm confused . Any one with knowledge that can clarify this for me please ?

it should work with the head. say which ever deal is best just get it.. 07 will be nice due to oil squiters.. and oh you dont have to get a standalone but its nice to save for it, you can tune with your current ems until you have some extra for the standalone..

so basically it doesnt matter they both will work just 07 is a little better for lubrication right ?
well yes i'm going to use FIC for few month and then i deploy after deployment i'm going to get standalon and pnp head with cams. But for now i need the car to run. I mean if built 06s running around with no problems then it should be ok i think.
For tuning i think i'm going to spend extra money but i will most likely get tuned by Kenny Tran. I dont wanna risk it with decent tune, i need excellent tune done by person who knows tC like his own body. Plus after tune i will drive 2000 miles since i need to get to WA state, i will only be driving 350 miles a day ( as per Army regulation ) and will stop every few hours.
You guys think it will be safe to drive built motor for 2000 miles ?
and while the car is down you think i should get the clutch in ? or use the stock one for now.. i'm looking to get 400WHP ultimately and for 2000 miles i'll probably get liek 250 very coservatively.

by the time you get to where your going the block will be fully broke in...lol... personaly i wouldnt do a long trip like that but with the pit stops youll make it may not be soo bad...you want to watch the engine for leaks often for the first couple hundred miles...ther are many ways to break in an engine so im not going to get into that...
