Yea fayettenam is a fun town. That's why I live as far from the chaos as possible. Ill give that a shot but I don't have a lot of confidence in the shops around here. I'm still not confident that I want to stay with this particular turbo. I still haven't figured out how the journal lost its seal with only running 8psi of boost and a turbo timer to let it cool down.

We are a PTE dealer, but I would rather issue you something else instead of another PTE.

I have a 5857 ball bearing on my 1.8t gli. Boost lag like crazy. also had the center section sieze up on me. next dayed it to precision. they took it all apart and cleaned it was it was basically brand new and overnight it back to me. honestly for 1550 dollar i spent on it I would have gone with something different.

Paul, I have Slydrin's old kit should I use an oil restrictor on it?

Guess the 2.4 makes a big difference I had boost fast.

When I spoke with permission they Saud one wouldn't be needed. But I'd wait for Paul's input.

Did they happen to say why it failed in the first place?

they said it was cooked. i did shut my car down early a few times when i was running late for work so i am guessing that is why. i usually let it cool off for about a minute. i guess those times i shut it down early was enough to cook it.

Meh, I don't know, I think sometimes it's easier to say we're at fault when the problem lies else where. I don't know how your commute is but I know for me, even if I'm running late I'm still going to be at idle for a good 30 seconds while I try to find a parking spot. Did they give you a time period that car must remain idling before shutdown to prevent it from happening again? Obviously it was cooked but I would have a hard time buying the fact that it was shut down too soon as a reason.
