The car is probably using a few stock parts. But we all know better, that the factory transmission has an upgraded diff (i don't think it's TRD). I am 100% certain the only thing stock about the cylinder head is that it uses the factory head casting. Nobody in their right mind is going to spend that kind of money to build a 600+ hp car using a bone stock cylinder head.
A racer is not going to reveal all the goodies required to put it all together. Plus it's good PR stuff for Toyota/Scion---buy a tc, spend a few bills on a few components and you too, can have a 600+hp time attack car. Unfortunately there's going to be a lot of tc owners out there thinking that they can build the same setup with a few aftermarket engine components and a turbo kit. Let's not forget about all the engine machining, component balancing, proper engine assembly, race bearings, fuel system, exhaust system, ecu, and all the supporting mods to make it all happen. And let's not forget about the most important thing--tuning.
But there's hope for everyone, since the block and head is a 2az-fe, so no engine swap required.

Anyways, is anyone else going to be running in the time attack?

Well at least if the bearings on my TRD supercharger goes bad, i know my toyota dealership will fix it for free each time.

On another note, if and when you get down here to Nashville, I would greately appreciate a BIG favor. It would be much appreciated if I could get some inside vids of the car in action (granted rules allow). I have a Chase Cam setup with a 3 cup suction for racing. If not, that's cool man, I'll just shoot from the side lines and get it screaming past.

Don't take any of my post personally. I know you are just passing on the info, but unfortunately, there are a people in this community that can easily be convinced into believing just about anything.
I talked to their truck driver about the car at the last VIP event in MD a few weeks ago--the TA car was not there, and I believe the car is in CA getting a major overhaul. So we have no idea what's being done. But best of luck to them and i know we're going to need it if we run our stock motor in nashville
We could have shaved another 20-30 pounds by removing the passenger sparco seat but we kept it in place for just this reason--ride along. Assuming we have no issues with the car, you are welcome to take a ride with our driver Ross. If you have a camera mount for the rollcage that would work out best, but we've used suction cup mounts before.
Practice sessions are on Saturday, so that would be the best time to ride along. I will keep you posted on our schedule and we can definitely arrange to meet up.

JESUS, MARY AND JOJO! I would have been estatic to even just be able to let my cam inboard. But you seriously just made my day! Yeah my crew will be in the Import Alliance show. So we should have about 20 Scions deep. I have tested my cam mount up to 135-140mph on the outside of my Z. So it holds good. Again, thanks for the pleasure of riding along. Maybe I can get something together with the crew and get a caravan together and roll in. Then again, you probably have an early drives meet.

Yep, and that's what I'm looking to do. I want to upgrade my cooling properties first. Radiator, thermostat, and oil cooling. Hell, I don't even have sway bars still. So, after those components, and some sticky rubber, I'll hit the Time Attack events and rep for the Scions.
But Like I said, we will have our crew there, which is 20+ Scions, so we will be representing nonetheless.

Is this going to be a Scion specific day, or would other makes be allowed, because I know my friend will want to bring his 58trim Evo.

The only thing that ticks me off though is the factory speed limiter will hinder me on the straights. The bank at the Nashville SSway is long enough for any 300+whp tC to hit that 127mph limiter.
