the new design looks great! but im curious if it would make some difference in power with how the runners are paired.. oh yeah twin wg!

question...wouldnt you want to take the number one runner and match the length (pipe used) to the number four so that the exhaust pulse from the number 4 cylinder isn't lagging as far behind?
In an ideal world yes. if we can make the runners as short as possible, minimal bends as possible with a long merge collector and a perfect wg priorty design that would be ideal. But taking all things into consideration, making #1 runner length to match up with runner #4 length is not necessary, if anything we would be better to match up #3 and #4 runner (on opposite collectors). But even to match up the length of runner #1, would require running the #1 runner up and then back down--more bends that the gases will have to travel through. Keep in mind that this manifold is design to still maintain the ideal hood clearance and utilizes the same intake and exhaust components in our existing single scroll setup. We rather focus on making the runners shorter with gentle bends than trying to match the runner length down to an inch. This is a turbo charged setup not as critical as NA header setup.

The placement of the turbo dictates the runner design as well. If we wanted to make the runners exactly the same length on a twin scroll setup, we would have to place the turbo in a different location and do up a totally different runner design, like the twin scroll manifold we're coming out with for the evo 8/9 market under the brand FiD (Forced Induction Development). The evo engine is much tighter than the tC. the only way to keep runner lengths more equal-length is to make the runners longer and go up and down. There's no room to do a low mount turbo like we did with the tC. At least not on a non-gutted car.

The latest is definitely worthy of its own thread entirely. Some have expressed interest in a twin scroll but that may be only a few, guess we shall see.

Twin wastegates should be used on twinscrolls - and that's why I think Ptuning is using them.

On a regular collector, a single wastegate should suffice if running moderate to high boost. It's low boost that demands larger wastegates.

There DUAL WG Vband setup is ment for people running time attack or even any racing were traction is an issue.. With this high flowing manifold design. Exauhst gases want to go one way.. DOWN.. So in order to run say 4-9 psi THE dual wg will make this an option..

We all know what 9 psi does 1-3 gear in a scion.. SPIN! so this will help keep that gt35 from spinning tires to early!

When i had my 6265 setup.. I could not use 1-3 gear if i tryed and that was with 255 falken azenis on the front. granted it was high boost. But with boost by gear and a nice wastegate setup i could run 7-8 psi in the first two gears 12-14 in the 3rd. and full in forth

Im sure MR.c will have a much better answer though!
